The Sierra de Guadarrama is normally known for its meat, but this Andalusian-style restaurant is a little gem for those who love fish. The starters were all excellent, especially the tuna tartar and oxtail croquetas. They cook most of their fish on the grill and the salmon was done to perfection. Desserts didn't disappoint either (the carrot-cream topped cheesecake was very good). Good, if short, wine list. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient (it wasn't very full, so hard to judge). Amounts were generous and take into account that they serve a couple of tapa-type plates before you even start. Price is not cheap, but not out of the ordinary for Navacerrada either. Will definitely be returning tom try everything else on the menu. Definitely recommended.

Desde hace poco , mi restaurante a desaparecido de la búsqueda en la categorÃa de "restaurantes en Navacerrada" y aparece en " postres" y "lugares donde comer" No entiendo el motivo, de no figurar en Restaurantes de Navacerrada
We chose to eat in this restaurant being recommended by family. I must say the food was really good, the service was excellent and the place was rustic but very nice. Price/quality was really good. I would definitely recommend this place and we'll certainly be going back.Nos recomendaron este sitio algunos familiares y de verdad estaba muy bueno. La comida, el servicio y el sitio rustico eran espectacular. Calidad/precio muy bien. Es recomendable. Seguramente volveremos.

I was extremely pleased with the restaurant. The service was excellent, the quality of the ingredients are very good and the quantity you receive is awesome. The menu is quite diverse and I was even able to enjoy one of my favorites, fried green tomatoes!I would highly recommend!

Both perfectly cooked and hot. We have had lamb on another occasion and it is first class. The portions are very big so share starters. We will be back

A tavola di canela born in 2005, the main idea is to bring the Italian-Mediterranean cuisine of the Sierra de Madrid in a different way, with excellent meat offered by the environment, with the best seasonal and fresh pasta, betting on a cuisine based on
We went to A Tavola on a Sunday evening, just after it opened at 9 pm. The atmosphere was dead .... not just because we were too early for the local crowd, but because there was nothing Italian about the decor, picture, furnishings, etc. The list of items on the menu was fine - but the quality was variable. We started with garlic bread (which was really dry) and a mushroom and chicken crepe - which was very large and covered in a creamy sauce. The garlic bread was rendered edible by spreading it with some of the sauce from the crepe. The crepe was Ok, but very rich and too large for a starter (yes - I could have left some, but my eyes are bigger than my stomach).Main courses - a vegetable pizza, which was pretty good, and a black tagliatelle dish with pieces of salmon and prawn. On investigation we did find some salmon, but only uncovered from the heavy sauce, one lonely prawn. The taste was Ok, but the sauce was simply too heavy and the pasta was way past al dente.House wine was fine and the cortadosto finish were very good. The waitress was really good and efficient.Overall summary - probably best in Spain to eat Spanish food, but if you are really hankering for something different after a longish holiday (as we were), you could give this a try. It may be that Sunday evening is a quiet night for them and perhaps the other dishes were better!(?)

Decided to try the Alacena after reading some very positive reviews on TA and it did live up to expectations. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The 3-course menu for â¬16 was made available to us on a Saturday night at 9pm. Food was creative and delicious, service friendly (which in my books is always a big brownie point in a touristy area where we clearly aren't locals). I am SO going back this summer.

We stayed with relatives in Cercedilla and they booked this restaurant for lunch. I was expecting a pleasant meal in a local restaurant but instead had a delicious meal in a small and unassuming place in the middle of this quiet village. Downstairs we had ice-cold beer with a complementary paella tapa and upstairs we enjoyed excellent Spanish cooking with some modern twists in some of the dishes, a great veal escalope for the kids (get 1 between 2!) and good recommendations from the waitress. All dishes are made from produce in season. Being 4 adults and 4 children, we were able to sample each other´s dishes and all were fabulous. We didn´t have dessert but the kids had ice cream. I am not a fan of ice-cream but even that was to die for. The bill came to 200⬠which for the quality I felt was very good. Highly recommended, looking forward to returning.

Very nice garden to dine, plenty of shade and cool. Produce from the pantry and trouts grown in house. The sound of the river... Amazing.I'm still surprise they only offer one trout dish. But really good meats, other fishes and starters. A jewell in the mountains.
