Real "no frills" food elaborated using the best local ingredients and cooked simply so you know what you are eating. Warm friendly service. Specialities: Iberian Ham Croquettes, Grilled Galician Scallops, Scarlet Shrimp Carpaccio, Andalusian-Style Baby Sq
A proper local restaurant offering great food at fair prices and very flexible when looking after my gluten free wife. Veal and tomato salad winners but the croquettas truly historic! We try our best to cater for all tastes and all dietary requirements and we are delighted your wife could enjoy her meals. It was a pleasure to serve you and the greatest compliment you could pay us was that you came back; not only once, but twice more in such a short space of time!We are truly grateful for the positive feedback given in your review, which in turn inspires us to work harder. We look forward to seeing you again next time you are in town. All the best!

This place is beautifully designed and looks very welcoming but thatâs where the positivity ends. The service was shocking even by abysmal Spanish standards. We arrived when they were not even busy but were ignored and so seated ourselves. A waiter who didnât speak any English (which is totally fine - I donât expect them to, as we are in a foreign country) gave us a wine menu in Spanish and said no English menus, which was disappointing in such a touristy place like this. No food menu was offered and he pretended to now know what we meant when we said carta de tapas... yeah right. We ordered wine and croquettes which were ok but nothing special. It then took another 10 minutes to flag down our waiter for the bill, another 10 minutes to flag him down to take our money, and then he simply didnât return with our â¬5 change! After getting sick of waiting for it I went down to the bar and asked for it myself. Our waiter deliberately didnât bring us our change in the hopes weâd forget about it, but I certainly wasnât going to tip â¬5 for the terrible service incurred. All in all it took 60 mins for a glass of wine and a simple tapa, the food was mediocre and the service terrible. Go to the tapas street and avoid this place at all costs.

The seating design is quite hip, and the location is great, being right next to a parking lot and a park. All our waiters and waitresses were quite professional. Most of our dishes were wonderful, except the final dish, the cod. This dish was rather lame, because it was just a plate of chunks of cod in some source. There was no plating, color, or anything that showed effort went into the dish. The cod was a bit dense and chewy, more importantly, it had no memorable flavor.

This popular bar has become a reference in the world of Riojano skewer. It has a wide offer of wine and skewers.
We stopped here for lunch, while on a tour. We ate at the service window, in the street. The couple that own and work here were funny, friendly & happy to have us. The food was great & the experience of eating & ordering at the window was convenient & authentic. I'd eat lunch or dinner here again.Thank you very much. We hope to see you again soon! Regards!

Very nice tapas and wine. In particular the 63deg egg with peppers and the cheesecake. Conveniently located on a row of excellent bars.

Logroño wasn't in our gastro trip plan but am I glad we stopped there... Not knowing where to go I consulted TripAdvisor and started making calls to see if we could get a reservation. First few places we tried were closed or didn't answer the phone. Then we tried La Quisquillosa. As luck would have it they had a table and were very close to where we had pulled over to make calls... They told us 20 minutes because they had a table finishing up.When we walked in they were ready for us and showed us to a very nice table, close to the entrance with a good view of the whole restaurant. The tasting menu looked good but we opted for a la cart. We ordered scollops and ham croquets for starters that were excellent and the Galician chuletón for two for our main dish. Chuletón is like a thick New York Strip on the bone. My partner wanted his extremely rare but I like mine medium rare. No problem, they brought me a ceramic dish heated in the oven enough to cook my portion to my liking. The Galician beef was amazing!! The wine list was mainly all Riojas, no surprise there, and was easy to find a wonderful wine at a good price. Alll in all we were very happy to have found this little gem and would definitely recommend it. Thank you TripAdvisor!

TEMPORARY CLOSED - The Kabanova restaurant is temporarily closed since April 2019. The reopening is estimated to be 1st November.
We have been fortunate to dine in Michelin-starred restaurants and in the States, even have James Beard Award nominated chefs prepare private dinners for us (if you are not familiar with them, the James Beard Award is the restaurant industry's equivalent of an Oscar Award in the movies). Our evening at Kabanova was easily as memorable as any of those meals and was possibly the culinary highlight of our trip! Each course was not only delicious, but also as imaginative as anything we've enjoyed. Add to that a white Rioja from Bodegas Abel Mendoza that the staff recommended and was so delicious we tracked down four bottles to bring back to the States and you can understand why we loved the evening so much. I'll admit that the notion of an all-woman run restaurant in Spain was a neat curiosity that drew me to make a reservation but it truly comes down to the fact that if you are a dining aficionado, you MUST dine here when visiting Rioja.Hi WineTraveller, many thanks for your kind opinion! Appreciate much those incredible words, we are so excited to know you enjoyed the visit and, above all, to have been a memorable experience for you, this is the biggest prize for our team and the gastronomic proposal on which we are working every day!Nice to know you and happy to see you back in the future! Greetings

Mouthwatering cuisine from local fresh produce . The restaurant is located in the exclusive setting of the 15th century wine cellars of the palace of the Duke of Najera. Food, Wine and History create a truly unique experience to enjoy any day of the week.
We liked the ambience of the restaurant a lot due to the unique mixture of old, but renovated building structure and the modern furniture style. And this was topped by the very friendly, professional and customer orientated waitress. One of us had started with an excellent Salat with goat cheese, and an almost rare cooked T-bone steak. The meat was nonetheless tender full of a wonderful taste. The other one had a regular mixed salad not on the menu with pork. Those was delicious. That altogether with the dessert and the Crianza local Rioja wine emade it a unique experience. Really lovely chatting with you guys. I'm really glad you had a great time and I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Say hi to your brother for me. All the best
