Located in Sozopol, on the yacht port, the Blu Bay Hotel Sozopol features an infinity pool and fitness center. The hotel has a sun terrace and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a meal at the remarkable Azahar restaurant or sit and have quick meal with hookah in Al Faro Bar and dinner. Private parking is available on site. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Certain accommodations feature a sitting area to relax in after a busy day. You will find a coffee machine in the room. Each room has a private bathroom. Extras include bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries. There is a 24-hour front desk at the hotel. Bike rental is available on-site. Amphitheatre Apoloniya is 201m away from Blu Bay Design Hotel, and we are situated in the very heart of the old town of Sozopol, located next to the Marina. Burgas Airport is 22.5 km away.
Heaven on Earth
Reviewed By OMGastrobelI'm just back in the UK after a 1 week stay at the Blu Bay. There are so many positive aspects to point out about this property. I'll do my best to summarize them all. The property has an atractive lay out over a wide plot, 3 stories up plus a basement. The general feel is one of amplitude and airiness. Everything is spotless clean, it also smells great. The swimming pool area is on the top floor. Although the pool is not big it makes up for it with the great views, general feel and excellent furnishings and finishings. It opens 24/7 and it's not always watched, for which I assume they chose it to be very shallow. The gym and spa are on the basement. The gym also opens 24/7, similarly to the swimming pool, it is not big but very well appointed. All of that is free of charge to enjoy, with the exception of any treatment booked at the spa. One thing missing, they do not have a hot tab/ jacuzzi - there is a free sauna/ steam room though. Their breakfast service includes a decent range of options. Their cured meats seem pretty good quality. They have some awesome fresh fruit cut/sliced. Coffee is very good. Pastries are great. I would avoid the French toast though :-) - Once you have eaten French toasts/pancakes in the US is kind of pointless to try them in Europe, they always disappoint :-) If you have trouble with noise at night I would encourage you to ask for a quiet room. Other than that the rooms are extremely well appointed and proportioned. Their shower rooms and water pressure/temperature are top notch. And last but not least, the team working at the hotel. They do deserve the 5+ stars for sure. They are very professional and accommodating. They made sure all my questions were answered and needs met. Words do not well describe how great they are. Also they all speak English to a good or very good level. It has been a rejuvinating trip, I feel I've shed 5 years off my passport age :-) - Cannot wait to return to the Blu Bay for another week in heaven. P.S. May is very low season in Sozopol, you'd have the place for yourself for the most part but some services (ferries/one day trips) may not be available.

Lovely room and hotel with a stunning view
Reviewed By lglen1992Can’t fault the hotel at all, the host was so helpful and friendly and the room was super clean with a gorgeous sea view, all for a very good price. The location is also very close to two beaches and the old town. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Sozopol!

Perfect destination for family with kids
Reviewed By bogdan1457Superb location and gorgeous setup with a lot of trees and plants on the alleyes! Shadow is everywhere, the whole site is peaceful. Beach is very close, there are small shops inside the resort. Sports facilities included! Kids can play in dedicated playgrounds. 5 pools to enjoy sun! Sozopol Old City is 2km from the resort! Parking slots are limited, might be an issue during the weekends!

Diamanti hotel is situated in the old town of Sozopol. In the hotel there are 10 double rooms, 2 suites with kitchenette, 2 family apartments (one bedroom with living room) with bathrooms and shower, cable TV, mini-bar, terraces and air-conditioners. From all the rooms there is a sea view. 10 minute walk to the town centre, each 8 minute walk away. Continental breakfast, a la carte restaurant, laundry and dry cleaning.
Extremely disappointing

Living in Bulgaria we visit the coastal resort of Sozopol regularly, it is one of our favourite places to visit throughout the year. We went for breakfast based on our previous experiences, but unfortunately this establishment and the food & service it provides is not the same so would not recommend.

Perfect location, overpriced hotel

Villa list is in the first line on the central beach, which was a little bit overly crowded, but there are great beaches near Sozopol. We had a problem with the parking during our stay. There isn’t a parking in the hotel so they offered us to park our car in a paid parking which is 7-8 minutes away on foot. The breakfast might need some improvements. The choice of the food was limited. The room that we were accommodated in was spacious, the furniture was old fashioned, the air conditioning was really noisy and it wasn’t working properly. In conclusion, I would say that the hotel is overpriced for the amenities we had. But that is the problem in Sozopol in general- you pay higher prices and you get less. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Very nice place
Reviewed By 529veselatI stayed there for the Easter holidays with a friend and I am very impressed with the polite and accommodating staff. Very clean, rich breakfast, all epidemic measures taken. My only comment is that sauna should be free of charge for guests.

Yuri, the manager, made our stay even better. his friendly nature and going above and beyond his duties as a hotel manager were impressive. the food was fantastic. the hotel is in an excellent location. with views across the sea and to the beach. theres even parking outside. anyone who stays here will not be dissapointed. an all round great hotel with even better staff

Best sea view ever!
Reviewed By MariaS1159I've known Sozopol all my life and the Doctor's House is in the best part of the city's Old Town. The owners are friendly, keep the place spotless and speak excellent English. We stayed at the top floor mansard room which has a huge terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea. It was the best place for a long romantic weekend, I highly recommend and we will most definitely be back real soon! Thank you, Eva!

Very good greek restaurant in the hotel
Reviewed By Елица ГWe were in a search of a different type of cuisine in Sozopol and we decided to give a try in Kavaler restaurant. We were pleased with the politeness of the waitress. There was a variety of greek dishes in the menu. I could recommend courgettes greek style as well as the greek salad. The hidden garden and the terrace were very comfortable for an evening escape from the noisy streets.

Overall badly disappointed! For a 5 star hotel - this was more like a 2 star experience!

We had to carry all bags on our own (three ladies) from the parking lot to the check in/ room. - check in: clerk was friendly but short on information, had to ask. - room: thick layer of dust, sink in the bathroom dirty one bed skirt was dirty (brown and black stains everywhere) - restaurant: no reception, we had to walk after the staff to ask for a table. My 9 yr old daughter ordered "shopska salad", it was served to her with a hot chili pepper in the salad, which she ate by accident and caused a lot of pain and stress - no information on the menu, the waitress did not inform us prior or upon serving!... (the manager did not even apologize) - second restaurant closed for the season (Sept 6th) - check out: beware, they charge for the coffee pods in the room, which you make yourself in the machine and which produces a ridiculous half espresso cup of cheap coffee (2 lv) also, take good care of your key card, because if can't show it upon check out, you are being charged for it (10 lv) Overall badly disappointed! For a 5 star and priced as a 5 star hotel - this was a 2 star experience at its best!
