The food and drinks at La Capannina are reasonable and pretty good. We had a nice starter with noodles which we shared, pizza for main course and tiramisu and semifredo for dessert together with a light house wine and water. All was good. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Restaurant Particolare di Siena welcomes you right outside the gates of the ancient city wall of Siena â the pearl of Tuscany along the âvia Francigenaâ: an innovative project which joins together two families and territories â Val dâOrcia and Siena. Thir

Neapolitan bar, restaurant and pizzeria also gluten-free
The gluten free pizza in this restaurant is the best one we ever tasted (two celiacs that already tried a lot of pizza's in Italy)! There are a lot of options and they make the pizza's themselves in a totally clean kitchen. The staff is really kind and I would definitely return to this restaurant!! It is close to the fortezza which is a nice place to visit in Siena.

Ilaria and Claudio are waiting for you at Montalbuccio restaurant and pizzeria:a typical and comfortable place with a large veranda for tasty lunches and dinners with typical Sienese products. You can choose from the traditional Tuscan dishes such as panz
A bit away from the center is a good thing. You must know what to look for, no casual drop-by visits seen here as much as at the piazza del campo. More locals, less tourists. Therefore dont expect awesome service if you dont speak italian. Great food with reasonable places, i absolutely love this place. Thank you!

We had tried to get a table in an alternate restaurant but fortunately did not because we then arrived at the Osteria, a review of the menu made us check the availability for a later lunch. We wandered around this stunning city and then made our way back - excellent decision. The chicken liver pate with truffle was the best parfait we have ever tasted, my cheeky husband asked for and received extra toast which was I am sure a nuisance but the chef came out and we thanked him. The remainder of our meal was delicious, a number of people tried to get a table but were unlucky as all occupied - my recommendation is come early or book it is definitely worth it for a traditionally modern experience with attentive service and an opportunity to thank the chef as well as the waiting team. Thank you all.

Overpriced and did not meet our expectations. The food was okay, but nothing special. Small portions, little taste but big prices. Owner recommended a beer, turned out to cost 8â¬. Definitely not worth it. Would not recommend, you can do way better in Siena.

Just a few meters from Porta Ovile and 5 minutes from the Piazza del Campo you will find Campo Cedro. A restaurant that in its dishes marries tradition and innovation with hints of oriental flavors. More easily reached by foot than by car, the restaurant
Despite it being a Thursday night in July there weren't many other people in the restaurant, which is crazy given the standard of the food and the prices. We opted for the 7 course tasting menu at â¬55 which, given the prices we paid in other restaurants in Siena and other Italian cities, is pretty good value. As for the food, the Tuscan-Asian fusion worked for us and the portion size just right to get us through 7 courses without feeling as though we'd overeaten. Favourite dishes were the amuse-bouche, which perfectly set the scene; shrimp tartar with tartar sauce and saffron-puffed rice; and seared tuna with sesame sauce and seaweed salad. A really friendly place that deserves to be packed every night.Dear Jack, thanks so much for your nice words. We are very pleased to know that you enjoyed your dinner with us! We really hope to welcome you again soon to our restaurant! A big thank you from all of us here at Campo Cedro!

Is the brainchild of four close friends who share a passion for their territory, rich as it is in history, art and natural bounty. Together with Chef Pino, the heart and soul of our enterprise, the partners all espouse the philospophy of SLOW FOOD.
The restaurant is attached to a boutique hotel. They put a lot of effort into the presentation of their dishes but the tastes disappoint. Read the menu carefully - half of choices are marked with an asterisk which means that the main ingredient has been deep-frozen. Truffle courses are listed exclusive of the price of truffle, so they will end up costing almost the double of the listed price. They use the regular spaghetti, not the thick, fat variety, for their 'pici al ragú' and the ragu was too oily to be enjoyable. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked but, again, the crust was too greasy. The staff appeared overworked and unhappy.Dear Nik,Thank you very much for your email; we remember very well and right now, I'm thinking : You are the same people who stayed here?just because you said everything was good, you left the tips at the end and you did not speak in English, not in Italien, just in French. For spaghetti noodles, you can see on the web, on tripadvisor that we have a special machine that produces it, the asterisk means that the fish (only this) and we have 6 dishes of this, it undergoes methods of culling established by European laws and it seems strange to me being French you don't know the same. About the price on the menu, by law we have to indicate it because it is the first means by which a customer relates; you have also specified that white truffles cost more because it is more prestigious, but we do not oblige people to prey on it; as you may have noticed we also have numerous dishes to choose from a la carte that are not truffle-based (from appetizers to seconds, including sweets). We thank you anyway for taking your time to write a review that alas is not true but we appreciate the thought! There is freedom of speech... however I would like to say that it is not right to speak in this terms,(especially if you think who should be the final reader) because here all customers read and must have a real consideration of a place, (not only here, all over the world) so please for the next vo lta, when you're in a restaurant, expose your problems "on-site" and ask to be sure before you talk and thus avoid ugly figures with everyone.

We were staying nearby and went based on TA positive reviews. We went for lunch and had a great experience. The food was excellent, I had one of the best ever risottos with calamari, asparagus and pecorino cheese. Others had the pastas which were also excellent. The service was also excellent with very good servers who spoke very good English and were friendly and helpful. As a result we went back another night for dinner of pizza and again found the food very good as well as the service. Highly recommended for food, service and value for money.
