I had visited this Venture in the Past two years as well as their location in Middletown on several occasions and unfortunately never have find the time to write a review.
Well today is the day….
The place is located in Southington on a small Plaza right on the CT Route 10. There is a Universal Parking on site, small outdoor Patio, Bar with Counter seating and a separate Dining Room. Modern décor and appropriate music and lighting create a nice atmosphere. Service is very good, courteous and fast.
The Food and it presentation is fabulous and Tapas are awesome.
As I had visit the Venture before a few times along a two years window, I’m entitled to say they are very reliable. The place to go when you’re looking for a Spanish Restaurant in town.

A 15yr family owned and operated casually sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of downtown Southington. We pride ourselves on consistently excellent food made fresh daily, generous portions and excellent professional service at very affordable prices.
Anthony Jack's is one of the few restaurants open for lunch on Monday in downtown Southington. It is a bit noisy, but we were able to hear each other. Food was very good, with a nice lunch special menu. Very nice attentive staff. Good coffee....MoreThank you! :)

You pick your veggies and meat and/or fish, and pick your sauce, and they cook in front of you. If you have not been there, we highly recommend that you give them a try. It will be worth the trouble. Only problem that we can see is that you tend to eat too much, so this is not a place for regular dinner visit, at least for us. We came after a long time and enjoyed.

We made sat night reservations on Friday for 6:30 for party of 4. It was 7:15pm and we had to keep asking when our table would be ready. Finally we got seated but in the bar where it was so loud and people all around us. Would think that these tables would be kept for walk ins. We were expecting a much more enjoyable evening. Food was good ( Tuscana salad was excellent) but when you can’t even have a conversation - why bother.

We went with two other couples on 10/13/17. I had the pork chop which was very good. The veggie of the day was broccoli rob - which I hate so I ordered the mixed veggies. They ended up being broccoli rob, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts. The worst I have ever had. I said that I did not like broccoli rob and she said they would substitute it. Are you kidding me? You can't substitute it with the same thing. We ordered pumpkin pie cheesecake for dessert. It was grainy, meally, and overall yuck.

Saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor and thought we would try it. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and my husband had the Turkey. I found the lunch portion small and left still wanting more to eat. I really couldn't complain since it only cost 9.00 for each sandwich. The sandwich came with one small side. I had the mac n cheese was came recommended. My husband loved their fries. I did have to put more BBQ on my pulled pork to give it some more flavor. If I was in the area again, I may go back but order the larger plate off the dinner menu. I guess it's a good thing if you leave wanting more. We did have a dessert. That was good too.

My wife, and her sister, and I recently had lunch here. Because we visited while their holiday decorations (which i thought were a bit much) were up, we had to order dinner even at lunch. The seabass and barramundi were straight from their menu, but i had a surf and turf special that came with a crab stuffed lobster tail and a small filet; all were very good. The crab bisque I had was also very good. Four glasses of wine plus desserts ran the total to $220 plus tip for lunch. Wait staff was very helpful; she double checked the crab bisque stock ingredients for me to verify there was no shellfish in the stock. Nice place to go for a special lunch but not one we'll visit often.

In town visiting family and thought we'd try the "new" restaurant. We had last visited prior to the rebuild. What a surprise. The vibe is casual elegance with outdoor patio dining. The menu was a bit more refined also. Wanting to start with some oysters on the half shell, I asked the waitress what they had and what the salinity number was. She said she didn't know the salinity but the "shucker" would be happy to come out and talk with us. He did and offered the information along with his suggestion. They were fresh and briny. For our entries my wife ordered a Specialty salad topped with baked Cod with a creamy tomato dressing. She seemed to enjoy it. I ordered the Lightly Spiced Grilled Swordfish Steak Nape cabbage, mango cilantro slaw, Spanish rice, lime mango burre blanc. The slaw was replaced with a mango chutney. The dish was savory and sweet with a nice touch of heat. The swordfish was cooked perfectly! A homemade berry tart with strawberry sorbet was a nice finish to the meal. The waitress was attentive and informative but unobtrusive. Another member of management (I assume) visited our table to see if everything was fine. Don't be fooled by the unassuming building as you drive by; stop in for a nice meal!

Went with coworkers and sat at the high top bar table. Deana was our server. She was great and made sure we had a great meal. We all ordered cocktails which were delivered promptly. Two had quesadillas which were good portion size. The other one ordered the portabella mushroom wrap with sweet potato fries. I had the Turkey sandwich which was excellent. I LOVED the cranberry mayo. I ordered the Parmesan tater tots but I wouldn’t get those again. All in all a great dinner and I would recommend for anyone in the area.

Had the drunken noodle dish three ways - vegetarian, tofu and shrimp - mango and chicken curry, golden bags appetizer and vegetarian dumplings - everyone enjoyed their meals. Super flavorful and very tasty. Cute atmosphere and just remember it's BYOB.
