Reviews on Romanian food in Giurgiu, Southern Romania, Romania. Giurgiu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈd͡ʒjurd͡ʒju] ( listen)) is a city in southern Romania. The seat of Giurgiu County, it lies in the historical region of Muntenia. It is situated amid mud-flats and marshes on the left bank of the Danube facing the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the opposite bank. Three small islands face the city, and a larger one shelters its port, Smarda. The rich grain-growing land to the north is traversed by a railway to Bucharest, the first line opened in Romania, which was built in 1869 and afterwards extended to Smarda. Giurgiu exports timber, grain, salt and petroleum, and imports coal, iron, and textiles.

A place where you can eat bbq, burgers or salads. I really like these place, I recomand rainbow latte, uncle Sam burger and no one salad.

We had to wait for about 30 min in order to receive the menus...and another 15 min to get our order. We ordered fish (sturgeon) ...horrible cooked...too much sauce...and the best part. Around 8 in the afternoon the waiters started to clean the restaurant in order to close it...according to the schedule it should be closed at 12...never again.

We were very hungry because we were driving for hours so we decided to stop at the first restaurant that came in the way. We saw this complex with swimming pool, a big yard, hotel and a restaurant nicely decorated in traditional style. So we thought we are going to eat a good Romanian food. Big mistake! The food was horrible, everything was bought from the supermarket, and very very expensive. We were very hungry and still couldn't ate almost anything. The serving was very poor. I would never come back.

We only ordered salads, which were good. However, it took them some time to prepare. Also, it's terribly smokey on the terrace, almost everybody there seems to smoke and the restaurant doesn't seem to do anything about it. No matter whether small children or perhaps people sensitive to smoke are there.

Paramos en una gasolinera porque llegábamos tarde a Buscarest para comer y nos encontramos con la sorpresa de que había un restaurante especializado en pescados. Tardaron mucho en servirnos, pero la comida estaba bastante bien y el local era cómodo. Me gustaron mucho los calamares.

Giurgiu is small city in Romania and always when i come here i like to come im La ponton restaurant to enjoy in river view. Nice food and drinks offers. Love this place!

Ristorante hotel con terasa e panorama sul lago Mihăilești nel distretto di Giurgiu appena fuori dalla linea de Centura (raccordo) di Bucarest.Il personale addetto alla sala è gentile e i prezzi sono economici.Molto buoni i "mici la gratar si mustar si pane" ,salsicciotti fatti a mano fatti al barbecue con un impasto di carni bovine suine ovine macinate e aromi/aglio serviti con senape pane e contorno di patatine fritte ma anche il "cascaval pane" le nostre mozzarelle in carrozza o giravolte.Consigliatissimo !!! Si mangia bene e si spende poco !!!
