Things to do in Ploiesti
When my son took me to Starbucks I was busy to look at the gifts offer of coffee cups and mugs.He ordered a mocha with coconut milk and cinnamon. I took a sip from his coffee, then I asked him to get one for me.This combination is great for mocha lovers which cannot mix the normal milk with the coffee shots.I was then talking with the nice lady at the counter about the mugs, so I left the shop with one big mug with Romania text, image of the village museum and two calusari dancers plus a set of two small cups, espresso size (one with same design as the big mug, and second with BucureÅti text and the Athenee building image). Now they are with their new owners my best Omani friends.Starbucks team, I hope next time will find a mug with PloieÅti text and a representative imagine of the city.
Tucano Coffee is not just a coffee shop. This is a mix of culture of indigenous Indians from Latin America and culture of California specialty coffee.

If you're driving from Bucharest to Brasov, the first 50 kilometres are quite devoid of any interesting or attractive places for a snack or a coffee. So on a Sunday morning, after half an hour on the highway, already past Ploiesti, we were encouraged to see the signs for Ploiesti Shopping City, which is a giant shopping complex out in the farmlands. We thought we would at least find a food court, maybe even a McCafe. So we were pleasantly surprised to find that they have a branch of Paul - a chain that we know from other cities. We both had omelettes - mine with ham and my wife's with cheese - which were excellent, accompanied by crinkly lettuce and fresh brown rolls. My wife had an espresso and croissant and I took a mini three-chocolate cake and a Cappy apple juice. The bill, as I recollect, was under RON 40. Service was excellent. They accept credit cards. And since it's an open space in a shopping mall, the area was non-smoking. (Generally speaking, Romanian shopping malls allow smoking only in enclosed restaurants.)A good experience, and a welcome change from the scruffy bars that you usually find on the national highways.

It is the place in town that has won our hearts. Our favorite place for coffee, ice-cream and spending peaceful moments. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is done with passion. We tasted everything so far and all is made in a way that makes you come back, I think the secret ingredient is "passion for cooking". The ice creams are the best in Ploiesti, natural, based on Italian recepies. As well as the deserts, which are delicious. Every month they come up with new ideas in terms of food and beverages. I really love this place and I recommend it to anyone!
