A first class (fish) curry, one of the tastiest this diner has enjoyed in some time: delicate flavours from a chef who clearly knows his trade. Another recommendation: the Malawi gin ... certainly worth a try. If youâre in Blantyre the Bombay Palace must be hard to beat.

Me and my wife were awed and amazed by the excellent customer service which is quite rare in Malawi but was flawlessly provided by their staff and waiters. Food came on time and the presentation was just out of this world. Tucked away in the residential area of Kabula Hill, Chez Maky is ideal for meals with family, friends or the usual date. The ambiance is homey and children have more than enough room to run about and venture. This is one place to go to when craving for mongolian meals.

The building is Chinese style. Lots of parking space. Inside, it looked quite run down. We had mix of dishes to share. The ' Ants a tree' were ok, lettuce leaves you fill with different fillings and eat as a little wrap. The main courses were really bad, I don't know where to start.... we had a range again. Rice, noodles, spareribs, chicken, chop suey for veggies, prawns. It was all very poor quality, I can't make any more of it. Prices were very cheap.Service was not too good either. Not checking if we were ok for drinks, forgetting some drinks and not once did a waiter remember who ordered which drink. But ok, that could've been forgiven if the food were ok.
