Lovely beaches well with the usual Hawkers , saying that we have had some fantastic tours by a guy on the beach called Sam . Great restaurant location with views over the pool and gardens and to the beach area. We enjoyed our buffet breakfasts and dinners, great selection available of both International and Sri Lankan dishes.. The dinner buffets were indeed sumptuous with an array of traditional and exotic dishes, so tasty that you struggled to leave room for desserts. Each day began with a hearty breakfast, plenty of choice here also and with eggs to your individual taste. Great staff, helpful and gave special assistance to my wife. Loved the ambience and the presentation.

A calm and quiet place where you can have a wide variety of food on your choice with a beautiful scenery of Madhu river.
We came across this place from TripAdvisor itself while looking for a different lunch experience during our stay at shinagawa. The location is great as itâs right by the water where Madu falls to the ocean (recommend that you sit right by the water as itâs much cooler and has a good views) We had the prawn curry with steamed rice and my husband the grilled crab and chips. Both dishes were delicious and the seafood was super fresh. Really enjoyed our visit and will keep this in mind next time We drive past. Note to owners : would be good to clean up the waterfront regularly it would make it that much better!!

The service is friendly, and the food is good, you can have a seafood platter cheaper than anywhere in the vicinity, and it is yummy. Takes a while to cook though.

We had a real pleasure to stop for a lunch at this restaurant. We felt like at home, enjoying a true family atmosphere. The food was great, truely homemade and delicious. Our meal was served on the terrace in beautiful garden.Nothing to add - it is âa mustâ if you are in Kosgoda. And even if the door is closed, you need to knock and talk to the owner to check if they are ready to host you (that was our case) - but it exactly shows that itâs a family restaurant with fresh, homemade food. Thanks for your visit and review. Since we can see the smiles of our guests, we all smile a lot more than we used to do.

Booked for dinner after many phone calls not being answered. Had the special garlic prawns which were tiny and tasted like they had been cooked in marmite served with a slice of white toast?!? Then ordered Thai chicken curry which my friend said was tasty. My tuna was so tough I sent it back. Told I would have a new one in 2 mins. After 15 mins when friend had finished eating and the table was cleared I went to find out where mine was. It arrived several minutes later stone cold. Sent it back and didnât pay for it. This place should not be no1. Try sunshine instead and see my review Would not recommend jungleDear valued guest, thank you for taking time to review Jungle Beach Ahungalla. We are sorry that you had this experience at our restaurant. As you can see in our menu the Sweet & Spicy Prawns are a starter, so they are not big sized and that they are served with toast. We are having very clear rules that our service should sell tuna steaks only when they are very fresh, so that they don't get tough. This was definitely our mistake and the management has taken action already. This should not happen anymore. Also it is not possible for our kitchen to prepare a new tuna steak in 2 minutes. Also there for we have taken action and excuse the wrong information of our service staff. He should have offered you a sear fish steak as an alternative. So it would be great to see you once again. You would definitely revisit your review. Thank you and have a nice day!

The Nebula Pier 88 Restaurant is located on the Bentota River next to the Nebula Supermarket in Aluthgama. The Restaurant specialises in sea food and asian cuisine and has a fantastic view. *** Tax free Restaurant
My lovely wife and I popped into Pier 88's coffee shop to escape the rain one afternoon. It's separate from the main bar/restaurant area in a nice air conditioned room with plenty of comfy seating. As ever in Sri Lanka, decent espresso coffee comes with a hefty price tag. My large cappacino cost 480 rupees but it was pretty good. My wife had a chocolate & banana shake for 500 rupees and we shared a slice of chocolate fudge cake for another 500 rupees bringing the total bill to 1480 rupees. You can easily get a meal for two for less but if you fancy treating yourself then this is a good choice as everything is high quality and the ambiance very pleasant.Dear Eddy,So glad to hear you enjoyed your coffee and cake at Cafe88 Aluthgama. Thanks for checking us out and taking the time to share.Hope to see you again,if you are ever back in town .Many greetings from Cafe 88 Team.
