2 Minutes away from the beach. Delicious foods and drinks. Close by the Hikkaduwa town. Near by the surf point. Friendly staff.
We just happened to stop by for a typical very late Sri Lankan lunch. We ordered some crab curry, prawn curry and a grilled crab. Everything was absolutely delicious and cost us less than 7000 rupees for four of us.

Imagine a bar where you spend time bathing on the sands and drinking pina coladas, the afternoons watching the beautiful beach in a cozy corner and the evenings listening to all specter of music while surfers break the ocean surface in front of the glowin
My friends and I came here because it was open late while many other places were closed. They got pizza, which was terrible: cardboard-like, pre-cooked crust and processed toppings.I had grilled calamari, which turned out pretty good: big portion, tender, sautéed nicely with garlic, and not overcooked. The service, however, was downright rude. I asked the waiter a question about what came with a dish, he spat the answer at me and walked away. Later, he flung the bill at us. After we paid, he said something in Singhalese to us (about us?), so I said "pardon me?", and he rudely waved his hand and said in English "just go". I can't think of anything we did that would have made someone act this way!

We had lunch here after a swim at the beach. Kids ordered pineapple ham pizza and really liked it. I thought it was a 3-star place but the teens say 4 stars. Milkshakes were disgustingly sweet but of course the kids loved them. Ambiance is basic, outdoor with a few ceiling fans. Service was good and friendly.

One evening my and my partner decided to have a take away pizza to enjoy on our balcony. Found this place next to our hotel. After the failed experiments in Sri Lanka with western food, we must say it's not only better than the average. It's actually a very tasty pizza. Freshly baked on wood. We liked it so much that we decided to order a take away two nights in a row :) Really recommend it if you are craving a good quality pizza

We have visited Refresh for Dinner and ordered the prawn and mango curry as we read about it on TripAdvisor. I have to say that it was not great, it felt like somebody cooked some prawns in a jar of mango chutney. The prawns were fresh and plenty .We also had the sri Lankan curry and rice which was 1600 rupee (other places charge 750) and some of the curries were strange. One was a garlic curry and a sea spinach curry. The taste was ok but nothing special and I would not rush back.I think it was far to expensive for what it was in comparison. The staff was super friendly and attentive

Spaghetti & co italian restaurant established 1995 by Paola and Fabio the only real italian management restaurant in Hikkaduwa with wood oven pizza. Open everyday from 6.00pm closed on full moon day.
Have had a great meal, Bruschetta de Pompodoro and Tuna Carpachi for starters then Calzone and Spaghetti Bolognese for main meals. All were excellently cooked and very tasty. The staff are lovely and friendly without being in your face. If you didn't know where this gem was you would walk straight past. Which would be a shame. Will definitely be back in a few days.

We visited for dinner because of their positive reviews on TripAdvisor and werenât disappointed. A very nice Italian restaurant with plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. We managed to get a table at 20:00 but it is popular so would suggest arriving earlier to not be disappointed. Would recommend if youâre seeking some Western food during your stay!

The food, the atmosphere and the setting here is amazing. The boat ride on the lagoon is beautiful too, the early evenings are so peaceful, with monkeys in the trees, birds coming home to roost, fishermen peacefully casting lines, and large water monitors waiting for a snack on the river banks. The menu here is a treat, everything is fresh, everything is prepared by the lovely chef, she makes all of the pasta and it is delicious. The cocktails are pretty good too, in fact excellent. The cooking classes here would be fantastic, it would be a real treat to learn to prepare everything so freshly

An all-round eatery that provides a fusion of food made with love and goodness. Bambini's Cafe has made the move to the West coast after a successful 3 years of good food and happy customers out on the East coast of Arugambay.
We had cocktails and food (Kottu Roti) and reveived good quantities and good quality. The bill was reasonable and the ambience was great. Highly recommended.
