Nice little cozy cafe to have a quick snack.
If only weâd discovered Abacate on our first day in Galle. The food is authentic Sri Lankan and cooked with lots of love. Itâs truly delicious and amazing value for money. The fresh juices and lassies (made with curd, not yoghurt) are worth stopping for too. This place is a hidden gem! Sitting watching the world go by, eating and thinking and chatting to the owner was a wonderful experience.Totally recommend Abacate for the best local food in Galle!

We arrived late in Galle Fort after a long drive from Ella via Udawalawe National Park and needed a feed. We stumbled across Elita and it was probably the best dinner we had in Galle Fort. Prices were on the very slightly higher end but after getting our plates we saw why. I had a whole snapper in a yellow coconut curry which was cooked perfectly and my husband had the grilled Prawns which looked more lobsters they were so big!Excellent meal and nice friendly staff. Dear Sir/MadamWe greatly appreciate your review. We always serve big portions with catch-of-the-day fresh seafood. And we are so happy to hear that you had been satisfied with your meal in Elita. Thank you so much again and wish you a good stay in Galle!

Heritage Cafe & Bistro's humble beginnings were when a couple of very passionate nomadic travelers and lovers of excellent cuisine, decided to pack up from mainstream city life to endure a newfound passion in the quest to find "ultimate paradise." After t
To me, the most striking aspect of the Heritage Cafe in Galle is the decor and atmosphere. The furnishings harken back to an earlier time, steeped in history and local culture. The food is tasty, but pretty standard. I remember I ordered a burger and they came back to me saying they had run out. I also remember being a little underwhelmed by the wrap, as I didn't find it value for money. I wouldn't write home about the bistro part of this establishmentI would go back, however to sit in the cafe, drink in the ambience and sip Ceylonese tea. I had an iced tea and sat for a long while, used the WiFi, had access to clean bathrooms and wrote post cards. I would definitely return to the cafe again, to stave off the afternoon heat over a refreshing iced tea.Â

Really nice atmosphere in this restaurant. The drinks selection was very good I chose a minty lime and ginger chiller which was very thirst quenching. We then had some specialty crepes which were delish.

The title of this review says it all. This was our second visit in 4 days and we once again loved the variety of the food. Served up as a number of small dishes with a mix of vegetables and curries. The kitchen is in open view and the lady who cooks aided by the gentlemen who serves provide a great home cooked feel to the place. The value is incredible at around SRp 1500 for two in many ways it is too cheap for the quality served up.

After being in Sri Lanka for 13 days and needing a change from the curry and rice, this restaurant provided just that. Delicious fresh ingredients. I had the Jai! - Thali salad and a cucumber lemongrass iced tea with the rhubarb ginger cheesecake. It was all delicious. Honestly one of the best salads I have ever eaten!! Great hipster decor in the courtyard restaurant. We were in a large group of 10 and everyone was happy with their meal choices. Would return

Super Juice Bar & Paddleboard Hire...... we offer quality healthy food & drink and the bonus of paddleboard hire and lessons. Freshly cooked tasty food, super juices and super smoothies.
Stumbled across this place as we were looking for some sunbeds to have a relaxing last day in Sri Lanka. Sunbeds were free to use if you bought food/drink or hired a paddleboard! We planned on spending the day & having lunch so a great deal. Run by a super friendly team, local lads & a British couple. Tried various delicious smoothies & the Beetroot & Feta salad & cheese toastie my friend had were great. Water is served by the glass, awesome to see a little less plastic in circulation.Definitely recommend regardless of whether or not you hire a paddleboard!Thank you for your awesome review. We feel VERY STRONGLY about reducing the single use plastic and we really enjoy working together as a team to make our space nice and welcoming for all guests. It was great to meet and we are so pleased you stumbled across our little slice of paradise. Thank you for spending time and for your support -take care :)
