Things to do in Seinajoki
We were there lunch time. Staff could not quite keep the place tidy. Interior is basic, nothing to write about. But the waffles are great! I tried the shrimp topping out of interest and it fit right in! Surprisingly waffle plate fills the belly like a lunch. You can get milk-free, gluten-free and egg-free. Recommended.
This review concerns the downstairs private or "on demand" restaurant. Not the ála carte restaurant, which I have not visited.A pre-ordered dinner to celebrate our society's anniversary with esteemed foreign guests present. It is quite understandable that in this establishment 230 guests cannot get their foods at the same time and some will be not so hot any more on arrival. But since the exact number of guests was known well in advance and all (save a few allergy cases) had the very same food, the said food should be as promised or at least somewhat at the same level. The menu is, with English text too, in the pictures. The starter wasn't half bad, only that there was absolutely no salt or pepper nor any other recognizable spices in it: just hacked white fish meat. However this was in it´s blandness the absolutely best part the "Gala Dinner" .No tenderloin on my plate, see pictures, but a thin slice of completely over well done dry, tough, tasteless piece of steak. When I cut strip of it and stretched it with my fork and knife about 15% it just bounced back :D.The pepper sauce was quite obviously made by adding way too much black pepper into ready bough cream sauce. Horrible too. The potatoes: I really do not know how to sa yexactly "rupinen peruna " in English, the translator suggest "potato scab", anyway it´s caused by Streptomyces bacteria in unfavorable growing conditions. it not harmful to eat, but to serve those ugly things to your guests??? A hint here: peel the potatoes before serving. The local seasonal vegetables was obviously meant to be a joke: nothing grows here at this time of year. Unfortunately the veggies were also no much more than a joke. Bland and over cooked. But can you flaw a New York-style cheese cake? Easy: put too much eggs in it.The coffee was of the light roast kind and brewed with too little beans, the first thing being more a matter of taste, but the second one a crime. No matter how much you have to cut costs, this was just an other show of the level unskillfulness of the kitchen staff or an miserable further attempt to cut costs, I hope it paid off.
Nice place. Lunch is nice, also if You planning anykind of party, ask this place.1km city centre location is good. I can recommened.
We were warmly welcomed by professional staff, got detailed info about the food and drink and leaned back to enjoy the fantastic appetizers and wine. However, it took over half an hour to get the main course, house paella (minus sweet pepper), which made our spirits sink a little. Even more did the paella: soggy, zero-taste kind of risotto with six (6) mussels and some prawns for two people. Our accompanying couple ordered theirs as is on the menu, so they also got chorizo. Our waiter forgot to tell us that if we donât take the sweet pepper, we wonât get the sausage, either, since both are added mixed to the paella. Requested, he kindly agreed to add some more frutti di mare to our paella, so the paella got a bit more taste and structure. But still the waiting, and having to complain about the food didnât do us any good, and it may take some time to visit Vinola again.Hi Virve,Thank you for your visit at Vinola! I'm really sorry that this time the food did not meet your expectations, and I'll go through what happened immediately with our staff. I am glad to hear that the appetizer and wines tasted for you :) I would like to thank you for your feedback, which is very important for development. Could you please send me an email at simo(at)vinola.fi, so that we may be able to correct your disappointment, even later. Have a nice day, and i really hope we can see you again!

They hosted our first night conference dinner very well.....three lovely choices with a Finnish theme (the elk was lovely). The surroundings were really comfortable and the staff were friendly. Great place for an international team to get to know each other in a welcoming environment. Good wines and beers and lovely food.

This is a lovely restaurant with a good menu. I have been there twice, to eat the delicious liver dish. The wine, the salad bar and the soup, all were good. The staff is friendly.

Very cosy place with retro style furniture and they serve mostly craft beers, Finnish and foreign. Mallaskoski is the local brand (Seinäjoki). Customer service is very good, this is the place you really enjoy your stay. At least during daytime/early evening it is nice and quiet for chat with your friends. Suitable for families as well, many families with children came to eat there. I chose fish and chips, it was tasty and all the other portions going to other customers' tables looked delicious as well.Summertime they also offer brewery tours (Mallaskoski) and beer tastings. Menu and other information can be found on their web site. Opens 3pm and closed Monday+Sunday.

Visited this place for the first time. The surroundings are great even though close to the centre of the city. The house has been renovated and everything works well. Service was good, food was good but not great. Happy to come back.Thank you for the estimation. Nice to hear you liked the milieu and everything worked well. We are very happy to hear if there are ideas to improve our service or food to become better. Every idea is valuable to us. Hope to see you again!

Once you find your way through the construction site to the restaurant, things get better!Friendly staff will made us feel well served starting from the non alcoholic apetizer drink we had with the kids. The menus are well explained by the staff and servings provide exciting experiences for your taste buds. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining which all in all took several hours. Wine list is good as well as the desserts. Only the cheese selection was not that impressive but over all a great experience.
