Find out what Norwegian restaurants to try in Kristiansand. Breathtaking Kristiansand was first settled in the early 5th century, with its modern iteration founded by King Christian IV in the mid 1600s. Home to many cultural, music, and arts festivals, the Norwegian city pulses with creative energy. Several museums celebrate local history and natural features, and the trails of Odderoyja are a wonderful way to breathe in fresh air while mingling with locals. Historic Oddernes church is a blend of architectural styles.

We decided to go here since we love tapas and the items on the menu is just what we like. We went for the recommendation from the kitchen, the Deluxe dish as a sharing platter for both of us in addition to sweet potatio fries. The dish itself looked really good, and it was enough food, but we were a little bit disappointed. Tasteless. Maybe our expectations were too high. The place itself was nice and the selection of courses on the menu looked really good, so might be that we come back another time and try a steak instead.

This is an out of the way place a beautiful park that feels like a secret garden. We didn't have high expectations for a park restaurants food, but we were very pleased. One got a hamburger which came with bun and the basics and French fries. I got the hamburger plate which was a hamburger on a salad. These were our first hamburgers in Norway and they were large, delicious., juice and flavorful. We enjoyed the view, watching the swans in the pond, surrounded by beautiful flowers.

Was very pleased when we found this place, Food is great and quality for money. Reasonably priced against the others and alfresco dining is great when weather is good. Highly recommend the Jambalaya Seafood Pasta. Calzone is also very good and staff are all great. Best find for the two weeks we have spent here.

There were not so much to choose if you are not a beer drinker .So, if you would like a glass of wine it is not a right place. In average looks like any other pub, dark and uncozy.

Nothing special, service is good but food wasn't anything special and I think prices don't reflect food quality.

Sjohuset Restaurant has for nearly two decades been a landmark among Kristiansand's finest restaurants. Here you're served fish and shellfish of supreme quality, lobster fresh from our tank - and a good selection for those who prefer meat. Idyllic locatio
The menu is mostly seafood. Colleagues that chose seafood enjoyed it. I ordered the entrecôte which was chewy and full of fat. The entré chicken salad was nice though. So if you like seafood, youâre at the right place. The outside tables are nice on sunny days.

In one of Kristiansand's most famous and historic buildings - one of few wooden houses that survived the great city fire in 1892 - youâll find HÃ¥ndverkeren Restaurant & Pub (The Craftsman). A unique Spanish Mibrasa charcoal grill, which reaches 500 degree
Nice place to watch football, there's a larger room with a tv I assume is devoted solely to that, which is where we spent the evening. Only had drinks, not good, but enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Cozy, dark and relaxed. There is a little covered area outside the front door with seating if you want to smoke. I especially liked the "Creation of Man" mural in the entranceway. Thanks for taking the time to write about HÃ¥ndverkeren, Kacey75! We have many different rooms, filled with a wide range of events throughout the week - as well as live football and private parties. We're also a restaurant and pub open every day, be sure to try our food next time around - from a very special Spanish charcoal grill :)
