Pleasant and well located hotel within the National Park with bright and cozy cabins, located less than 3 km from the archaeological site of Palenque. The property is surrounded by gardens with an outdoor swimming pool, the freshness of the Michol River, and the tranquility of the surroundings which is ideal to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms include fan and private or shared bathroom, safe, bottle of water and amenities. Our restaurant La Reina Roja offers a great food and beverage experience. The city center is just a 10-minute drive away.
I loved the time we spent here at the Cabañas Kin Balam. The attention to details is second to none. The service the guys provide here is top and you can never go wrong visiting. The atmosphere is magical, after a day at the pool you can chill in the restaurant with fantastic food and nice people to hang around. My visit was super nice despite the fact that, at the end, I ran into a bit of trouble as I left the hostel leaving my passport behind. When I realised it I was already on the road to a new city but as soon as I got in touch with the team at Kim Balam they reassured me that they had it and immediately arranged a courier to get the passport safe in my hand despite being in a different city! Jessica and the Kin Balam team where so kind and efficient that I will never forget the time spent there. Thanks a million for making me feel at home!!!

The drive to get to this secluded resort was interesting -- a great glimpse at the rural life in the area. Las Nubes is a bit of an oasis carved out of the jungle with a the raging waterfall always beckoning. The cabanas were a bit sparse, albeit comfortable, for the price, The food at the open-air restaurant by the falls was adequate -- as we were led to expect from previous reviews. The hanging bridge and the trail up along the river to the mirador were highlights and not to be missed. Our favorite part of our two days there was the friendly and capable staff -- particularly Daniel Morales at reception and young Charlie at the restaurant. One warning: We naively expected to take day trips to the Montebello Lakes area and to the Yaxchilan ruins from the lodge. The driving times to each place prohibited us from doing that.

Stayed here for one night and the staff is very nice and helpful. The place is safe, clean and the price is decent. The place is not located seaside but it is about 10 minutes walking distance to the beach.

Hotel, cabins, camping & restaurant ECOLODGE & VILLAS TZISCAO is located on the shores of the Lake Tziscao inside the National Park of Lagunas de Montebello in Mexico, Chiapas. Ideal for families, couples or single travelers. Ecolodge & Villas Tziscao is also an amazing and charming site for special events such as wedding or birthday party.
WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS! Don't stay here. There is poisoned dog food around. Not kidding. Our dog got killed. Very sad . We found also other dog body. This place is like horror movie. STAY AWAY! There is a campground and I don't understand how they can be dog friendly when they actually kill dogs. When I claim to the receptinist obviously surprise but they should take care that those things don't happen to their visitors.

Muy bonitas las cabañitas,el lugar está limpio, descansas mejor por qué está tranquilo, se encuentra como a 15 min. del centro.. Lo único malo es que no tienen lo que marcan en la carta para botanear.

We stayed in their cabin with a balcony (and hammock!) overlooking the lake. The cabin is rustic/rudimentary, but spacious and clean and excellent value for the low price. Hector and Yolanda, who own and run the Cabañas are very friendly. The Cabañas also include a simple restaurant with home style cooking. Hector's brother, Roque, is a guide to the region who has lived and worked in the United States and is fluent in English (his mobile number is 963-663-35-17; landline is 00-502-30-04-70-97 - the mobile number is a Guatemalan number because there is no Mexican cell service in the area). You can also arrange to have Roque as your guide through the Cabañas.

Stayed here 12 times over 10 years, here's why it's the best in a town that's filled with cool places to stay: 1. Awesome Owner She opened it 20 years ago for the joy and it reflects that with a warm, colorful, upbeat look and that hosts all, from families to partyers 2. Best Balance In front of beautiful playa Carazalio, beginner/intermediate surf beach, yet cost efficient. Everything within 30 min walk or less: main strip & beach / in town to local markets and restaurants / airport and bus station. & a short caravan ride to la Punta, best intermediate beach. Clean yet comfy. Professional yet chill. Amazing pool and variety of rooms from camping to private. 3. The Bar The entrance is open and mellow with a variety of spots to chill solo or in a group. One of the only places in the neighborhood open late every night it's popular with neighbor businesses, locals and travelers. Very strong "you're among friends" feel. Pull up a stool any given night after 10pm and you are likely to have a great conversation with a variety of folk. Be warned though you just might fall in love with a beautiful stranger and not want to leave. Keeps me coming back.

A unique experience ... On the greenest route in Oaxaca where you can enjoy nature at its best, gastronomy and spirituality with the comfort that we offer you in our "Rancho Viejo" cabins.
I adored my time here. Although there are cabins for rental, I stayed at the hostel: Bostel Rancho Viejo. I was traveling alone through Oaxaca and I have stayed at over 100 hostels in my life. I have to say this was the most incredible stay I've had at a hostel. Firstly, it is the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed in. The house is stunning with beautiful indoor and outdoor areas, a large kitchen, a huge table where we all ate dinner together each night, and a fireplace where we gathered around the fire afterward. I stayed in a bunk with several other people, and while it was cold, they provided lots of blankets to keep us all cozy. The house looks more like something out of Architectural Digest than a hostel, it's cleaned daily and it is a great place to relax. I spent the days hiking with people I met at the hostel and lying in the grass outside the hostel reading. In the evenings, everyone gathered to cook together and eat and share about their day. It felt more like a group of friends living together in a house than a hostel. The structure of the house makes it so easy to meet people and I made friends there with people I continued to travel Oaxaca with afterward and which I'm sure will last a lifetime. Very grateful for this place set in the beautiful mountains. I hope to return soon!

Simple but comfortable cabins with private bath-room, hammock on the terrace, nice restaurant. At the edge of the river. The offer several tours. Unfortunately it wasn't the season where the Guacamayas come to enjoy the special fruit from the tree. They offer also boat tours on the river
