Can't attest to the cooked food (other than the chips), but the oysters were fantastic. They had just gotten them in. The serve them out of the shell on just a bed of ice. Oysters, chips, and beer - what else to you need.Thank you for your positive feedback. Please come again, especially for oysters!

We came in at around 8:30pm on a Wednesday night during winter (review date only goes back to Nov) mainly because not many other places were open and although they'd turned off the grill, they fired it up for us to cook us some yummy burgers. The burgers were fantastic and we even went back for lunch the next day.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Picton at the top of the South Island, New Zealand, and at the gateway to the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, is the âCrow Tavern. A home away from home for the local residents of Picton and tourists as well. Located on th
Outside this place is a huge sign claiming to be Seafood specialists. Faulse and missleading. We went in for dinner expecting a high standard of seafood dishers. It seems that all they have is a deep fryer and cook up prepacked fish fingers and fish nuggets. We asked for some nice fresh blue cod or crayfish and were promptly told we could not afford it! WHAT! How the heck would they know what we can or canot afford. It became clear that this place was a dump so we walked out and went to a real restruant.

The Jolly Roger Bar & Restaurant is a very popular spot set right on the stunning Waikawa Marina. In the colder months you can still enjoy the beautiful view while sitting in our large heated canopy area. The summer months are an extremely busy time here
My husband and I just ate here for our anniversary we ordered garlic bread that arrived with the garlic butter on the side with raw garlic, a few minutes later we had our mains delivered which only took about 10 mins in total for the whole meal to come out I had the pasta special which was disgusting tasted like water with dry chicken and obviously microwaved from frozen hence getting the food so quickly the nachos were ok but I have left with an empty stomach yes we didnât pay for the pasta but not even an apology very disappointing.

I canât vouch for the food but as a pub I liked it â easy to chat to the locals and a fair selection of beers plus the rugby on TV of course. Probably one of the only places to stay open after about 9 on a Sunday !

We are a great little Bar and restaurant located in the heart of Picton, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Like us if you enjoyed your stay
We were excited to eat here again and weren't disappointed. It had been some time since we had been up that way. The oxley is in a great position to look out to the sea and the decor was warm and inviting. The staff were super efficient and our meals arrived quite swiftly. We both had the pork belly with apple sauce mash and slaw. It was delicious! Can I say though the pork belly didn't have a crispy skin which we were surprised at and disappointed.Hubby then had a super delicious rhubarb and apple pie and I had a red berry and citrus tart.. we loved them!Cant wait for our next trip up.. we will be back

Welcome to only Irish Bar in Picton pouring Marlboroughâs best pint of Guinness! Enjoy all Seumusâ has to offer with cosy atmosphere, wooden interior, booths, a sunny and private garden bar, free WIFI, live music, and Guinness, Kilkenny and Bulmers on tap
To be honest we only stopped in here because our ferry was delayed but would allow time to visit next trip! Food was great, served quickly by lovely staff (excellent fish and chips and the beef cheeks were divine) warm as toast on a yucky winters day. The only downside was the âWellingtonâ prices on the wine menu. The beef cheeks are tasty arenât they! Melt in your mouth goodness. Glad you stopped by!
