Classic Japanese food including 15 hour broth Ramen Noodle Soup, crispy karaage fried chicken, donburi, bento box, sushi rolls, yakisoba stir fry noodles, matcha ice cream.
Ordered the salmon poke salad bowl ($14) which came in an incredibly small portion. The shallow takeaway bowl contained a few miserable stalks of undressed greens, two bites worth of sushi rice, some pickled veg and a tiny portion of salmon. I was left hungry after that.

Enjoyed our experience last time so we came back for more. We commenced with 5 Kind of Sashimi, and Wakanui Caparceo which were absolutely scrumptious. A couple of our mains are worth high praise, King Prawn Tappin Sizzle and Teriyaki chicken. Our friends from Auckland very impressed that it was BYO also. Worth every penny, we will be back again.

Tried this restaurant first time on a business dinner occasion and I was looking forward to it based on the amount of good reviews. It was a Sunday night and the place was fairly busy. Service was friendly, attentive and quick.I rate this restaurant as average for 2 reasons:1, although the quality of the sashimi was quite good, the gyozas I had were too oily and lacked in taste and presentation. The Okonomiyaki was below average, they used way too much flower in the mix and it was not enjoyable to eat. Felt more like food court type food. 2, the main let down for me in this place is the lack of atmosphere. It doesnât feel like any Japanese dining experience at all and aside from the type of music being really annoying, it further destroyed any of the atmosphere such a restaurant should have.So overall, ok to try once but I donât think Iâll go back there as there are better Japanese restaurants in Christchurch.Dear customer, Thank you for your review. Management has passed on your comments to the kitchen regarding the dishes you mentioned you thought were substandard. The music could have been easily changed or turned down if you had only mentioned it. We feel bad that you did not enjoy your visit. Please identify yourself if you ever come back so we can make it up to you.
