Can not recommend these guys more! So far Iâve had 3 types of burgers, the loaded fries, donuts & bliss balls! Love that I can order in the morning and have it ready for a certain time. Super tasty, affordable meals, and big sized portions!

Dined in the restaurant whilst stying in the hotel. Evening meal was very good value for money. I had venison pie - which was great - and partner enjoyed the chicken burger. Friendly, helpful staff.

Most locals reckon this is the best "roast dinner" restaurant in Greymouth, and they're probably right! It's a good idea to get there early most evenings as it's very popular and rightly so. A choice of at least two joints is on offer plus other dishes. pasta, and steaks cooked to order. I eat there twice in a week, roast pork first time, and a steak second. Both were first class with lots of veggies. This is not a de luxe venue but it's fine value and quality.

Yes, absolute and utter guff. Snooty eye rolling waitresses and guff food. The waitress attitude to customers service was guff. The pints were wet glass flat guff, the food was over cooked guff and the final eye roll from a bratty waitress was guff. The most guff experience I have ever had in any restaurant.

Established in 1982 the Bonzai has been under new management since June 2015. Now known as the Bonzai Cafe, it still provides all the old favourites, great pizza's and some of the best coffee to be found on the Coast. We've been continuing to improve the
In this street with shops, this place to eat is a little bit hidden away. When we entered, we saw this restaurant has the charm of a restaurant where mostly local people eat, with (older) friendly waitresses who seemed to know a lot of guests. The menu offered sufficient choices. My wife ordered the vegetarian dish and I had the fish special for $ 22,90. Summarised a place for a good meal in a friendly restaurant.

The Paroa Restaurant is one of Greymouth's best kept secrets. Located on the outskirts of Greymouth, and very popular with the locals a wide range of dishes for all tastes. Our menu cater's for all ages, with an extensive children's menu.
Supper starts at 6:00 PM. We found this out only after arriving at 5:30. Grab a menu off the bar as you walk in, check it and the chalkboard for any daily specials especially what the âroast of the dayâ is. Go to the kitchen window to place your order. Pay then or start a tab. They give you a disc that buzzes when your order is ready for pick up. Grab cutlery and napkins from the salad bar. We found this out only after watching a couple of locals! With your main dish you can choose salad bar and chips (French fries) or steamed fresh veg. Restaurant is very clean, staff friendly and food very good. Seems to be very popular with locals and young seniors like us. Lots of free parking, 10 minute drive south from Greymouth, fully accessible.

Very friendly locals, Pool table, jukebox and great simple but incredibly tasty food. Would recommend to all. New management apparently and doing great job. Please support!

Buccleugh's On High is a stand alone restaurant but part of the Recreation Hotel. Diners can eat in the restaurant but also have the option of eating off the restaurant menu in our lively and clean bar.
Located in the Recreation Hotel, I was expecting pub grub, but the offerings were far superior than that. I had dinner and a continental breakfast here. My good was lovely and I was very impressed by the seafood signature dish a couple in the next table had - I'm not a seafood lover, but it was impressive!

Good old-fashioned New Zealand cafe.
We called in here for a quick coffee, totally unplanned and were really pleasantly surprised. $8 for a large cappuccino and an earl grey tea was great value and the drinks were sizeable and good quality. We didnât eat but what others had looked great.Donât be put off by the fact it doesnât have the modern âkerb appealâ of some other cafes, this place is a real find that we would definitely come back to if back in the area.
