Shopping center "De Loper" in Vlaardingen boasts a wide range of interesting shops, but if you wanted to rest your feet with a drink or a meal, the selection of possibilities fell painfully short, until the opening of restaurant "'n Tikkie Ouder" in June 2016. Before that time you had to fall back on fast food counters or typical Dutch cafÃ©s, where you only feel comfortable when you are a regular. Restaurant 'n Tikkie Ouder is a spacious bright restaurant, where you can get everything from a cup of coffee to a complete meal. Service is casual and polite, and for Dutch standards really good. The menu changes every week and is dependent on the supply of fresh ingredients. The name of the restaurant (translated in English "Somewhat Older"), is derived from the effort of the management to offer employment to people who are retired, but wish to have an occupation. This restaurant is an asset to the shopping center and is to be recommended.
