A lovely terrace to eat outside on a summer evening, well away from passing cars but you can see shipping activity in the distance. Welcoming. Very relaxed and popular with vacationers and locals. Varied and medium priced menu of good food and drink. Entirely unpretentious. However, as always in NL, order from the Dutch menu â not the English - if you want to avoid surprises. On the way from the rail station to the beach, and not far from the ferry port.

Beachclub in Holland. Homemade food, a lot of it is plantbased and/or organic. Also available for weddings, bbqâs, birthdayparties and anything you would like to celebrate :)
Went to try the beaches out in Holland during the last week of the Easter hols, took the family (and the dog) for a walk along the dunes, very pretty area with natural beauty and a long sandy beach (to the north you have the dunes and sea, to the right you can see the port of Rotterdam in the distance)... the Elements bar/cafe is well placed right next to the dune road leading onto the beach, you have to park back away from the dunes (as they're a nature reserve), but the 10 minute walk is easy and well worth it (plus the parking costs 2 euros for the day, which is far cheaper than other beach parking nearby)... Elements is on the left as you approach the beach, it has a wooden pathway leading to the entrance with a large tree root sculpture outside... once through the outer glassed wooden wall you are greeted by an array of stylish funky natural furniture (carved tree trunks, weathered chairs & tables, long chairs, soft seats, etc - a real mix of styles), it's very tribal styled and has an easy going feel (there's a big dog that wanders about in/outside, very good natured with humans and other dogs), we ordered drinks first (beers and iced tea's) then later tried the menu which was a mix of fusion dishes that catered for every taste (including a good selection for vegetarians)... we had the hamburger which was very good and added the potato wedges as a side dish, plus mixed olives... overall the food was fresh and well set out with fresh salad... it's a great bar to visit during the day, the lady who served us said that it gets busy on the weekends (which I'd expect after trying it ourselves), they're very dog friendly and offer water bowls for them and allow them to wander free, we shall be going again as it's a great location and very relaxed being next to the sea... they also do breakfast specials for anyone who likes and early beach stroll...

First visit and I was very surprised with the quality of the food! My starter Salmon was too much haha and very tasty. The spare ribs afterwards were the best I had in a long time, jummy!
Leuke plek aan het strand. De service is heel apart en vriendelijk. Eten was lekker. We raden de pompoen kokos soep aan. Ze hebben de âgewone â hamburger en de beyond. Leuk om ze naast elkaar te proeven. Wij vonden de gewone lekkerder. De zoete aardappel patat is lekker.

was staying nearby and another staying at the same place recommended The Unicum . They were right really great place, got here about 7,30pm there was inly 2 other couples but by the time we finished it was packed. Unicum has a great ambiance and is well set out. We took the 3 course set meal menu for 25 euros each what can one say it was superb the staff were excellent all spoke perfect English and took time to explain what the menu was by translating for us,even the boss took time to say hello to everyone. Others went off the main menu and had meals cooked at tables. I would thoroughly recommend to any one staying in the area or waiting to catch a ferry . The food is far better than on the ferry for about the same price , although some items on the menu were up to 46 Euros

But the chicken satay I had was the weirdest combination of foods I've seen on a plate. The satay itself wasn't like the stuff you get in Malaysia, and the accompanying salad, potato salad with extra mayonnaise, fries, pickled cabbage, and bread was truly bizarre. Cool building though.

We found this on trip advisor and were not let down. We had a superb meal on a quiet Tuesday evening. From the amuse bouche to the desserts the whole meal was an unexpected pleasure. Better than the reviews indicate. Very helpful with our wheel chair user shown every consideration without any prompting or condescension. We will certainly recommend this to our Dutch friends. Thank you very much.

This was my third visit with friends on our way home to the U.K. It has become a tradition to stop and eat at this delightful restaurant each year. This year was no exception. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food was excellent value and off a very high quality. Special mention must be made of our server Linda Geers she was a delight the whole time. We look forward to our visit next year
