We went for a girls day out to In den Biesenschuur for a High Tea. This place is very cosy and informal. We booked for a normal High Tea. This means 3 rounds and every round accompanied with a pot tea. If you don't like it after all you are able to choose an other one, which is very nice. Not that we needed it :-)First round you get hearty treats like a sandwich with chicken fillet and home made mango chutney, Quiche etc. Very tasty and freshly made. We ordered the Champaign truffle tea, you should definitely try this one!Second round you get a home made scone with clotted cream, strawberry jam and lemon curd. Third round the sweets came in. There was a homemade cheesecake mandarin, chocolates, cookies etc. If you want a relaxed high tea in a homely feeling environment with freshly made stuff go there, if not go there :-)The staff is very nice and easy going.Besides enjoying a high tea you can buy tea in every taste and all accompanied supplies you need to make a nice cup of tea. Of course we bought some tea and supplies. We can also recommend the Male tea with champaign granulate! If you can't finish your sweets the are willing to pack it for you. You can also order high tea to go so you can show off at home :-)To catch up with friends or family and enjoy some nice teas and food, go there!Per person EUR 20,95 good price for what you get.

Had 'Lazy afternoon tea' where you get to enjoy small pieces of different cakes. Brownies was really tasty and chocolate they use is Tony Chocolony. Moreover, it comes with a glass of tea. A social responsible concept restaurant. The one the Gouda has a beautiful old Dutch interior.

I've enjoyed my sandwich but my partner got a too complicated 'club sandwich' which was an absolute disaster when eating (everything fell apart)Was a piece of artwork though, lol.Very nice staff. We were the only custumors but felt like we had to wait a bit long for 2 cold lunch dishes.Overall, nice experience great fresh food. Definitely visiting again.

I have come here a couple of times over the last few weeks and have not been disappointed. Typical Dutch restaurant/fastfood place. Good choice and service is fast. Pity staff is chit chatting amongst themselves rather than with customers who 'pay the rent'.
