Tried this restaurant on a whim following our visit to nearby Keukenhof tulip gardens. Live music was playing in the nearby square and the outdoor seating section was packed. My family moved in doors and we were immediately greeted by the friendly (English speaking) wait staff who seemed un-phased by the crowd. So glad we found this restaurant. It was easily the BEST dining experience we had during our trip to the Netherlands. We were all eager for fish and not disappointed. Our nine year old daughter selected a seafood pasta rich with large chunks of shrimp, crab meat and mussels and tossed in a sweet chili sauce. My wife and I dined on mouth watering cod, that had an amazing sauce of its own and included family-style salad and french fries. We started the meal with a seared Ahi tuna that even our daughter could not get enough of...and the chef gave us a complimentary "taste" of shrimp and crawfish marinated in yet another mouth watering sauce. Our only regret was not sticking around for dessert since we had a long trip back to Germany to embark on. Locals packed the restaurant: they know a good thing! Several incredible meat dishes, freshly grilled, adorned the other tables. When we return to Keukenhof, we will dine here again. While not as beautiful as the tulips, the meal at "Chique and Simpel" was every bit as memorable!

I wanted a low key dinner and had stopped for a beer earlier in the day. The seating outside is comfortable and service is as well. I enjoyed an evening meal of a small steak, done well, the hottest fries I have ever been served and a small salad for a very reasonable price. A couple of glasses of the house wine and all was well in the world. Based on my observation it appears to be a local after work gathering place for a pint and bite to eat. Nicely done!

Pleasantly surprised. Interesting menu with set menu options known as "Proeverij" . Choice of meat and fish. Nice setting. Music in the background. Staff is efficient and friendly. Checked in on us several times inquiring if we needed anything else. We lacked the time for a set menu hence we had the unlimited spare ribs (first time ever I could eat those with cutlery but very tasty). I was offered a second serving but declined as the portion was sufficient. We also had the Chicken Sate. also good. Reasonably priced. We will be back to try the "Proeverij". Parking close by. Reservation needed unless you'r early. Outside seating probably in summer but not sure.

A-muze were well able to handle a large group for a family celebration. Service was pleasant and quick, quality of the set menu was outstanding. House wine not bad. They also had a few other dinner guests in the restauarant, it all seemed to work well.

The food was delicious, and at a much better price than the hotel offered the first morning, so we went back again. Bakery goods were wonderful, coffee was perfection, eggs and meat were well prepared, and the service was fast and friendly, as well as more helpful than as the hotel.

The Wilhelmina restaurant is the main restaurant in the keukenof garden, but we went to the smaller Irene (Grand café) restaurant/snack bar which was closer to us. Seems like they all serve the same inside. Not a lot of dishes, but enough variety to get you through the visit.Salads, soup, snacks, kids menu, pastries, coffee, tea, etc.The portions are decent and you can always have a soup if you're still hungry.A dish and a soup will be around 10â¬, give or take.

The lunch we had was fantastic. My wife, a vegetarian was specially impressed with her salad. I has the flower based tuna dish which was sooo tasty and our guest had the seafood special which had tastes of various fishes. The service was impecable and nice to see proper cutlery and linen. Cannot fault the restaurant.

Very inviting place, quite cozy, lots of interesting details. The staff members are friendly and efficient. The house beer is excellent, my only complaint was I was driving so I could only have one! The menu had interesting choices. The dishes were tasty and well prepared.
