As a total pizza snob, this was a decent try at Italian pizza. The base is hand thrown/stretched and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Topping choices are American-style but the base does taste of pizza and it was a thin crust and not a crazy size. It wasnât overly Italian but it was tasty and this pizza snob enjoyed it. Bruschetta starter was bland and jazzing it up with the olive oil on the table just made it wet as the oil was bland too. Cocktails were terrible; margaritas made with a mix and served in tumblers.

Stopped by this place for a good burger and fries ... which was as expected. Nothing fancy ... nothing significant ... just good food for those that like quantity over quality. However, the bartender and fellow staff were talking about "not" having sexual relations with their wives. The waitress even got involved in the conversation and started to share somewhat graphic details about her "preferences." Although I am a mature adult, the conversations were inappropriate in a public space. Not only did I feel uncomfortable, but I was tempted to move to a booth or a distant table ... yet, I should not have to move. So, consequently, I stayed at the bar and tried my best to watch the game. NOTE: The bartender did check on me multiple times and made sure that my drink was topped off and that I was satisfied with the meal.Over time, the conversation turned to movies, which was nice. Then again, the bartender and fellow staff (not the waitress) used the F word multiple times. Once again, very inappropriate. Would I come back to this site when visiting Pierre in the future? Probably not ... definitely not with my wife and kids. There are several other places in South Dakota's state capitol for consideration ... no need to help this business succeed with such non-control by its employees.
