Soft-serve ice cream & signature shakes top the menu at this classic burger & fries fast-food chain.
The food was exactly what we expected from a Dairy Queen. The young lady who took our order and delivered our food to the table was very friendly.
Stop in, cool off, and enjoy an ice cold beverage or delicious meal in a fun family friendly environment!
driving by this restaurant it looked another dive. the atmosphere inside was nothing to be invited by. however, we ordered the smoked brisket sandwich and the pulled pork burrito. this is some of the best bbq that we have eaten since we left az 4 months ago! bbq is dry rubbed and smoked for just the right amount of time to make it amazingly tender and tasty without being dry. sauce is available on the side if you wish. talked with the pitmaster and discussed woods and rubs and this man knows his stuff! so please stop in the say hello and be ready for really fine smokes meats. other things on the menu as well but we were in the mood for bbq. and we were rewarded handsomely.
We are not beer drinkers, but we did try the 5 choice sampler. The highlight was the fried deviled egg appetizer. They were so good. The cowboy hash browns were okay, but just like you would get at any Denny's or IHOP. The jalapeno burger was good but dry. I thought the jalapeno jelly was too sweet and didn't use it for my sauce. The burger needed sauce, though- so, you will need to ask for something if you also do not want the jelly.

We went here for the bowling. Nice, clean, well-serviced lanes. Very reasonable priced games. Not very busy early Saturday afternoon. I never looked over to the restaurant/casino combo. Food prices were high, but you received a very large portion for the cost. Quite a large menu; burgers, chicken, appetizers, etc. Very well lit, not dark & dingy like many bowling alleys Iâve visited. Bathrooms also very clean. Doesnât look like much from the outside, but worth the stop for a few quick games. Pop country music, not my favorite, but what many like. Good customer service, polite, attentive employees.

We stopped here for breakfast as we headed out of town. It was my children's first Subway breakfast experience and they all liked their sandwiches. The service could have been better, as the person making our sandwiches seemed ticked off about something, and was quite gruff and had a very put-upon attitude. We were there about an hour after they opened, so maybe it was just too early for her on a Monday morning.

Coffeehouse, Pub and Grill. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We serve gourmet coffees, espresso's, smoothies, soda's, a large range of draft and bottled beer and a full bar. We open early and stay open late.
Stopped by for lunch and were lucky to find seats at counter. Many locales and tourists. On street parking in historic district. Were out of Fish & Chips. Good service and coupon found in Hot Springs Tourist free magazine. Smaller men's room than I expected, could be wait?

This place was not busy when we arrived, but it still took an hour for them to bring us our food -- we were on the verge of getting up and leaving when it finally arrived. The service was nonchalant, the food mediocre and the place grubby. Apparently mostly frequented by locals, but their standards must be pretty low.If it took more than 15 minutes to get your food, we were busy. If you were in on a saturday, we were a full house. Lets be factual. So many good reviews and compliments are very positive, yet they all have low standards? Guarantee you were ask several times how your meal was by sever and by one of the owners. Why not say something then?

The 1891 Steakhouse and Bistro is located in the lobby of the Historic Red Rock River Resort, built in 1891. We opened June 13th. We feature locally raised beef and South Dakota grown ingedients whenever we can. Our chef creates many culinary masterpieces
Finally made it here to give them a try. Expected more based on the reviews. They have a Bistro menu and a Steakhouse menu. We ordered from both menus, I ordered the Champagne Chicken and my spouse ordered the Back Pepper Chicken. we both had salads that included brown lettuce. My spouses was replaced and she was not charged the up charge. Our meals were ok but average. My baked potato seemed to be reheated. My Champagne Chicken cost $18 so was expecting more. Atmosphere was neat being in an old building and our service from Chrissy was great.

Came in at noon on a busy day with hubby who was having low blood sugar dizziness and server was awesome - rushed him some juice and appetizers FAST and saved the day. Lunch arrived - sweet potato fries, great salads, good bread accompanying it all. Excellent lunch spot in a fascinating and charming town.

*Closed for the season, we will be re-opening April 21, 2019* Woolly's Grill and Cellar is located in the Southern Black Hills in Hot Springs, SD. Woolly's is a family owned and operated restaurant, coffee bar, and lounge. Our restaurant offers a casual,
Being that this restaurant was rated #1 in the list of all restaurants, I would have to disagree with that. Website says "Casual but Refined", I agree with Casual but not with Refined. 1891 Steakhouse and Bistro's food is WAY better. You do get a lot of food here, but taste was just ok. The ribs were very tender and meaty though a couple were dry, all with very little sauce or smoky flavor. The buffalo sirloin was thin and chewy, not bad. Very good salad bar and dessert selections. Sauteed veggies were watery, bland and overcooked. The green beans were suggested but were kind of dry and tough. Biggest complaint though was that they had no beer that was brewed there though there were big signs everywhere saying there was. Our meals were served right after we returned from the salad bar. Hmmmm.Thank you, Chrisdeanck, glad you enjoyed much of your evening at Woolly's especially the amazing 18-foot salad bar. So sorry that we didn't have any of our great craft brew available the evening you were here (we still, even after 4 years now of brewing, have stuck with our small batch size and occasionally run out). Though we also always feature all the great craft brews from around the state of South Dakota (so you won't go thirsty). In addition, for the wine drinkers, we always offer samples of our Woolly's labeled wines (a very nice red blend as well as our signature white wine). Thanks again for dining with us.
