We needed a room for 1 night while traveling across SD. This place was a little dated, but everything in the room worked well. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave. Everything was clean, and no weird smells. There was a pool outside, but we were there in the off season and it was closed. Front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. Good room for the price, would stay here again.

Bill and Rhonda were fantastic, friendly, helpful, and personable. They made our stay amazing. From a home-cooked breakfast to motorcycle route suggestions, they went above and beyond. They opened their beautiful home and life to us, and we hope to visit them every year if possible. Thank you so much for making our first trip to South Dakota (and Sturgis) so perfect!

This place has at all. We went on a snowy October weekend. It was cold and very windy, despite that we had very good hunting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. He was very patient as we had some green hunters in our group. The dogs were amazing. The trap range was also very good both for practice and weapons familiar ization. The rooms are decent. They are on par with a holiday inn express or the like. All rooms had 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and 2 bathrooms and a common living area. They were comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Beautiful views of the Missouri river from the rooms. All the staff is very helpful and go out of the way to make sure you have a great experience. The meals were delicious. The bar has a great beer selection and top shelf spirits especially a lot of decent bourbon in scotch. Nice fireplace inside. The lodge common area has a pool table, foos ball table, ping pong table, and a poker table. There is a nice deck back with a gas fire pit and sweeping views of the South Dakota sun set over the Missouri river. Our guide cleaned our shotguns each night. The lodge also arranged to have all of our pheasants cleaned and vacuum packed for us. We were given a small cooler to take our birds home with us. Shotgun ammunition is included. Tips for the hotel staff and you're guide are extra and not included in the price of the package, but they all work hard for you.

Jack & Jill bathrooms for toilet & shower. No guarantee who your neighbor will be BUT locks between. The room was super clean. The AC had a note to not turn down below 72 or it would freeze up. Normally I wouldn't ignore this note but there was a heat wave when we were there. 72 didn't cut it. 70 worked without freezing. One of the three rooms had an issue with the lock into the common hall area. but it had a bar and a chair. Showers aren't anything new but they had great water pressure. Laundry and ice on site. Ask for a room AWAY from the outside door to avoid hearing door slams during the night. Friendly service and can't say enough about how close it is to tourist areas. We stayed 2 nights. Would do again.

Built in 1909 and full of its own hometown charm and history. It has 4 guest bedrooms and 2 1/2 guest baths, as well as a Dining Room, Sitting Room, and Man Cave for guests to enjoy. Plus, a larger unit with private bath, kitchen, & living area, which accommodates 4-5 people.
My family had a fantastic stay with Beth and John at their amazing bed and breakfast while attending a wedding in nearby Polo. Their hospitality was topped only by the delicious breakfasts! Upstairs and downstairs rooms available. We stayed downstairs and really enjoyed the pool table and dart board. Clean, comfortable and very accommodating for our dog. Thank you, Beth and John!

Army Lodging at Camp Rapid is centrally located in the Black Hills offering lodging to all Active, Reservists, Retired Military, State agencies and Federal agencies. Army lodging has a total of three locations in the state - Camp Rapid, Fort Meade (Sturgis), & Sioux Falls.
I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was. My one night stay turned into three due to a delayed meet with my traveling companion. Even during a weekend exercise, Joe was so nice, he made certain I had a place to sleep after wandering all day around the area. My room was simply amazing, everyone so very helpful - from just directions to the best places to grab a bite to eat. I especially liked the small buildings all on one floor so I didn't have to cart my bags very far. Again, this base was absolutely wonderful. It was so comforting to feel so safe so far from home. Would recommend this to any military retiree traveling.

My first impression was that this place was decorated by dudes. For the outdoorsman, you just need a bed, shower and toilet. This place has the potential to be SO much better. Pros: comfortable bed w/ new sheets, pillows. Lots of tv channels for good tv. Fridge, microwave, and small coffee pot. Windows open. Paneling is in good shape, floors are vinyl plank=new. Staff is friendly. What it needs: better locks w/ industry standard deadbolt. More Lighting, better quality lighting. Needs deep cleaning of windows, appliances, behind appliances, floors, under bed. New tile in shower abd resurfacing tubs. Counterspace in room& bathroom. Needs new window treatments & industrial rods. Needs new faucets in sink and shower. Needs deep cleaning. I byo beach towel, extra coffee/filters, blanket and bar soap.

Our staff at Rockerville Lodge and Cabins are here to make your Black Hills Vacation one that you will not forget.
The room was very large, and I was willing to overlook the tub not being cleaned to my standards. Also, I was going to mention the that the bedspread needed washing. Deal breaker was when a man came into my room while I was showering and my husband ran to the car. The man is the housekeeper! The older man at the desk said, “Sorry for the inconvenience.” I told him this was a little more than an inconvenience!! The owner NEVER bothered to contact me about this situation!! My husband said we will never be back, especially since the owner and the man at the desk seems to think this is acceptable behavior! Of course, we paid full price for this lovely experience.
