My first night in GenSan.Hungry and not happy with the menu in the hotel a walked a bit around.I decided for a pizza and Giacomino's was there. The most incredible non-pizza in my entire life. A piece of bred, sweet, with some tomato smelling and tasting ketchup. ...I also ordered a cake. That was quite good.During my stay I was the only client. ... mmmmm

I tried the Pizza Hut in KCC Mall several times and didn't think the food worthwhile; there are a number of restaurants in KCC Mall and in Veranza with excellent food that I would recommend instead. (For good pizza, you could try the Yellow Cab Company in Veranza or Greenwich in KCC Mall.) I do recommend the Pizza Hut in another mall in General Santos, the one in SM Mall, however, since it has some of the very best pizza in General Santos City.

The pizzas are great (ask for Bacon Margherita, if available) especially for pan pizzas fans like us. The toppings' richness is best enjoyed with a hefty dough below. One also gets to customize their meal and pizzas could also be had for just P99! My son is always excited if I bring a box home. Service could be improved, though.

A family member strongly recommended this Veranza Mall restaurant, and now my wife and I like going there. Some types of pizza there are excellent. Their servers have told me that their NY Classic pizza is the most popular type of pizza there, though personally I much prefer their "roasted garlic and shrimp" pizza and its "New York's finest" pizza. If you would like to try several pizzas at once, you could always order a pizza that is half one kind of pizza, and half another. (You could also order their "four seasons pizza," which is made from 4 kinds of their pizza, though I do not recommend this kind of pizza at this restaurant). If you like soup, their cream of squash soup is excellent. The name of this soup may make it seem unappealing, but after trying it, I usually order this type of soup. It could be a meal in itself, unless you share it, of course. I also highly recommend their hot chicken wings. Usually if you order chicken wings in a restaurant, the wings look like the chickens were poorly fed, being more bone than chicken, but the chicken wings here are thick with meat. We also like their potato wedges, which are brought to your table with garlic sauce and ketchup. When I tried these the last time my wife and I were at this restaurant, they brought a substantial box of 15 potato wedges, cooked well, each potato wedge about the size of 3 or 4 normal-sized French fries. We had some left over to take home. Most of their regular sized pizzas, which they say serve four, are 300-400 pesos. Their cream of squash soup is 105 pesos. Four pieces of chicken wings are 255 pesos. Their potato wedges are 185 pesos. From this restaurant there is a good view of the 5-story Veranza mall waterfall. And in fact you could sit on the patio right outside for an even better view of the waterfall, if you would like.
