I have been here many times and only disappointed once. Better than the other Sushi places I have been to in the Beaufort area. They have a half price special, I think on Thursday evening, and a Happy Hour on some nights. It is close to WalMart, if that is a stop.

Many years of enjoyment at House of Tokyo. Friendly, caring service. Fresh sushi and sasiimi. Always well taken care of. Sushi is simply great.

The chicken and shrimp meal is great and will fill you up. You get a salad and soup with it and can add on some gyoza for an appetizer...and you are talking about some good eating. You may have to wait because the area is small but the food is worth the wait.

Second trip here and it was leaps and bounds better than the last. With a full menu available this trip we were able to have sushi which was excellent and a habachi dinner that was excellent as well. The wait staff did a great job assisting and serving. Thanks.

After a week of good southern cooking we were ready for something different when traveling through Beaufort at lunch time. Papaya Thai hit the spot. We had the summer rolls, lunch size basil chicken and crispy flounder. It was all very good. There were only two other couples in the restaurant when we were there which is usually not a good sign, but that proved not to be the case. Our server was friendly and efficient. Overall a good place for Thai lunch.

Historic Beaufort's Urban Seafood Grill. The Saltus Kitchen is home to a cast of talented characters committed to the culinary art form, experience and presentation. From it comes our area's freshest sushi, mind-blowing steaks and seafood and an unsurpass
We both had fish. It was well cooked and presented. Nice restaurant. The only downside was the sudden arrival of an overly noisy bunch of loud mouthed, boorish, obnoxious middle aged American men. Probably on some kind of golf trip but what a rabble. May as well have been in a Taco Bell at that point.

We stopped in for lunch. My wife ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura and I ordered the lunch sushi platter. The tempura platter was good and plentiful, substituting zucchini instead of green pepper as requested. However, my sushi was not very good. Not only did I ave to wait basically until my wife had finished her lunch before It was brought to me but the cuts of the fish were poor quality with lots of sinew that made it difficult to eat. I would not go again for sushi but it appears from reviews that other people like the teppayaki meals.
