Food is quite good. Service is good. Pretty clean. Reasonable wait time. Fair prices. My only complaint would be the volume. It tends to be a bit loud after about 8pm.

Oysters were good. The crab legs (supposed to be 1 pound), were only two small clusters, not a pound. The waiter forgot to bring them. Ok...sometimes things like that happen. They also have a shady practice of adding 3.75% tax added to all credit/debit card transactions. They do have little signs around the restaurant warning about it, but it's just sleazy.

Manager was very nasty and unprofessional! She refused to accommodate a request to broil my dinner instead of frying my food. The Hook in Anderson.... first time here!And last time here! Melinda was the manager!We strive to make all our customers experience exceed their expectations. We offer a broiled menu of fresh fish. There is also a fried menu of items. The managers are unable to make changes to the menu or pricing. That is the policy of the store. Melinda, the manager on duty, explained the differences on the menu and gave you options of what you could order, but was unable to make the plate that you requested at the price that you requested. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I unusually love a restaurant for itâs food. But this restaurant has wonderful service AND food. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and attentive, but not overwhelming. There is a happy upbeat energy in the air. . . . Oh yeah. The sushi was the best. We ordered three different kinds. We also liked the tempura vegetables. We will definitely be back. . . Ariel (I know I spelled her name wrong) is the best waitress in any restaurant I have been to.

It's basically our weekly ritual to go to the local (by boat!). The food is fabulous. We usually get the steak special and it is always cooked to perfection. They always have special sides.. apps... and drinks! - all of which do not disappoint! Alana and Tucker are amazing!! Highly recommend the Local!

This newish restaurant was our choice this year - being local to everyoneThe food portions are huge and so most split a plate which was niceThe issue for me is the booth seating - they are way to low for the table height- you feel like 5 year olds sitting at the grown up tableThe prices are good We did not have desert this time but they are also home made and very good - worth again splittingBut not sure we will be back unless we can find tables that only have chairs!!!

We were one of three couples meeting there for dinner. Service was attentive and everyone was pleased with their choices off the menu. Nothing really stood out as stellar, but overall the restaurant does a solid job of food and service. I did enjoy the view of the lake and marina from our table.
