We like dropping in on Captain D's every once in a while. It's a pleasant place to eat, has friendly, helpful folks at the front counter, and provides low-cost but tasty food. If you've ever been to a Captain D's before, you know the drill: It's a pretty standard fast food place. However, this one is always clean, with staff constantly busying themselves around the tables. They also come by and ask you if there's anything you need, too. Unusual for a fast food restaurant. Their food is good, and prepared quickly. You can get a filling lunch of fish or chicken and fries for $4.99. They've also got combination plates available, and if you want, they'll fill you all the way up for about $13.99. You know everything was frozen, but they cook it good and fast. And you'll get a smile from the front counter help.
We visited on a Wednesday which was senior citizen special night. The manager?Jodie was very helpful with our choices I tried the battered fish dinner my wife had the new broiled shrimp skewers. The fish was mild and flaky but my just raved about the shrimp. We could equate the quality with the low price.

The shrimper seafood restaurant, Overall the food was good. Ironically the lone exception was the shrimp, it tasted freezer burnt. I had scallops that were cooked just right, a squash casserole that was delicious fried okra that were delicious and hush puppies that were light and tasty and delicious. The breading on the shrimp, scallops, okra was light and tasty. For the price of the meal, there was plenty of food, the wait staff and the people that took my order were as friendly as you could ever ask for. I would recommend The Shrimper Seafood to anyone who is passing through and even though I did not try the fried chicken, some of the people in the restaurant gave it rave reviews.
Shoneyâs are a mixed bag some are good and some well arenât. This one is a good one. The staff was fantastic and everyone I came into contact with was great!! I got the dinner buffet which was 12.95. The buffet offers some of their staple items like turkey, chicken, stuffing, salad bar and other comfort foods. Overall the food was decent and what I had did not seem to be sitting there too long even at 8pm when I went. The only negative is the value is only ok for what you pay. With a drink it was about $18 for just me. Overall though it was good and I do recommend it.

We spent one night in Sumter and chose this restaurant for dinner. It was close to our hotel. They were busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. We enjoyed our dinner. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. Good drinks, too.
