The service here was fast, friendly and courteous. The food was also very good and fresh. Easy in and out road access and close to hotels.
While planning a visit to a nearby state park, we decided that during this trip we'd try out some local places to eat for a change. This restaurant sounded pleasantly intriguing to us, and we certainly weren't disappointed. I had the jerk chicken with two sides (yams and cabbage), and each item was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife had a cluster of crab legs with shrimp, and was equally impressed. We enjoyed it so much we went back again two days later! That time I got a fried seafood combo and added oysters while my wife got the seafood boil, and again everything was cooked perfectly. The small staff (who own and operate the restaurant) was so friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Anyone who happens to be in the Barnwell, SC area and wants a great lunch or dinner will be missing out if they don't consider stopping in.
We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
Evacuated for Hurricane Irma. We were early arriving to our lodging so this was next door. Walking in the door, EVERYONE greeted your arrival with a genuinely friendly smile - something small town Southerners are known for. Huddle House is not known for "cuisine" so we had no real expectations. Food, for what they are able to offer, came our hot and quickly, portions were generous, it wasn't greasy. It was, however, typical Huddle House fare. Although it would not be something we would normally choose to patronize, it provided warm hospitality to us evacuees and for that we are grateful.
We were in Barnwell for a short trip and were told to stop at Winton's for a quick meal. I should say, quick & delicious! All of the staff were friendly. We were in and out in no time, and very satisfied with the meal.

My family ate breakfast here on Easter morning and everything was fine, until after we were seated. I glanced back at the counter where the workers were only to see our cashier gnawing away at her finger nails while standing at the front counter. DISGUSTING! She handled money and food and then she does that??? I love Hardee's, just not this one.

We were passing through and wanted someplace to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The pictures on the internet of the food looked really good, so we stopped. To our disappointment they do not have table service on Sunday, only a buffet. The salad bar had a nice selection, would have looked better if tidied up more often. The steam table food is what I would call school institutional food. Vegetables drowning in water and little or no seasoning. I couldn't determine what some of the almost empty containers were suppose to have in them. I would like to go during the week and sample some of the food offered on the table service. Maybe next year.
