Was here recently for an early dinner. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but had a few other tables occupied by the time we left. The restaurant was very basic in its decor, not especially attractive and had some water damage apparent in the ceiling. The service was good with the exception that our initial waitress didn't speak English well and had trouble understanding our questions. After awhile a very sweet waiter replaced her. We ordered from the sushi menu and a sauteed scallop dinner. The sushi was good, not outstanding, but good and the scallop dinner including soup, salad, rice, many scallops and two shrimp was both good and excellent value for the less than $20 cost.

We visited with neighbors for a lunchtime visit. This is a hidden gem. Nice but unpretentious. Great food, well presented and nicely served. Well worth a visit.

I have been here when the Bon Apetit club has an event and it is excellent then. But, it should be as the owner is there and being the Chef.Unfortunately, that is just not the case when he is not there, which has happened too many times. This meal was so bad and yes I should have sent it back, but my partners was bad as well and I really had no confidence it would get better. She had shrimp fried rice. It was greasy. I had Chicken, Shrimp and Eggplant. First, it was all fried. Not what I am used to. I have eaten Chinese food in prime locations, such as NYC and San Francisco. Never is this dish fried. The coating was mushy. Old oil, bad temp. Eggplant was mushy inside too. Frozen eggplant. Dry fried rice. I get the feeling it was pre prepared and served lukewarm. I senses the Shrimp in Fried rice was reheated with the shrimp. It was ugly, I will not go back there for a very long time if at all.Yuk, yuk, yuk!!!!!
