It is the county seat of Florence County and the primary city within the Florence metropolitan area. The area forms the core of the historical "Pee Dee" region of South Carolina, which includes the eight counties of northeastern South Carolina, along with sections of southeastern North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population of Florence was 37,056, and the estimated population in 2015 was 38,228.

This property was convenient to the hotel but VERY loud and noisy,The staff workers were screaming it each over not just with orders but about everything.We fent that we were at a baseball park game with the screaming vendors hawking over you and upsetting your stomach so not to enjoy your meal.

This yankee drives out of her way 100 miles for country ham and grits, so when we were driving by the area recently, this restaurant was the obvious choice. It did not disappoint. My spouse (who ordered the same thing) commented on the speed at which my plate of country ham, eggs and grits vanished. The fried chicken at the next table looked fabulous. Our server was harried but great. Itâs going to be a must stop for us.

This Sunrise drive in is awesome!! We stopped for dinner after Wreaths Across America, big group of us. Our waitress was great, efficient with orders and so friendly. Food was even better...generous portions, burgers amazing, fries, even better. Biggest hit was livers and gizzards. And very reasonable prices...Had a great meal, and will definitely be back.

Can't blame this on the wait staff. They were all working hard on this busy Saturday morning. After passing by hundreds of waffle houses we finally stopped in. After being seated and giving our orders we notice how dirty this place is. Breakfast was just ok: the sausage was awful.
