The village of Alloway is home to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and the Robert Burns Heritage Trail. Highlights of the trail include Auld Kirk Alloway, Burns Cottage, Burns Monument Gardens and the 13th century Brig O'Doon. South of Alloway along the attractive A719 coastal road is Culzean Castle and Country Park which offers much of interest all ages. En route is an unusual roadside attraction called Electric Brae, a 'magnetic hill' where a car left out of gear will appear to go uphill due to an optical illusion. A few minutes drive from Culzean Castle is the famous Open Golf championship course at Turnberry where the clubhouse is open to the public.

Had the most enjoyable lunch in the Savoy Park Hotel. A new menu is now available and the Chicken Club sandwich was a delight. Fresh ingredients, a good portion but not too big and absolutely delicious . We also got to try their Caesar Salad. Amazing .Well worth a visit.

4 star Country House Hotel providing excellent Scottish hospitality. Opposite Royal Troon Golf Course. 3 miles from Prestwick International Airport. 40 minutes from Glasgow city centre.
We stayed here due to our bnb accommodation being cancelled and the host booking us in to here to substitute for it. Wow! What a great choice! We stayed in the Mews, which is separate from the main building but still close. A nice lounge area and separate bedroom, very clean, lots of choice on the tea-tray, big comfy bed and a strong shower. We enjoyed one of the best meals of our month long trip in their dining room that night! The service, cocktails and food was impeccable! Truly top-notch! Highly recommended.

My husband & I stayed here for the weekend at beginning of May. On arriving we were greeted by Fraser who was very helpful. He got us booked in quickly helped with all our enquires from the WiFi to where we could have something to eat in Ayr town centre. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Only down side was the bathroom as on the Sunday I was going for a shower and as it was a bath with over head shower & no anti slip mats in the bath I slid & broke my elbow. When Fraser came back on shift again he done all he could do to help until the paramedics arrived. Since this happened 4 weeks ago I have never had a follow up call from Travelodge that when leaving the hotel we were told we would I am very disappointed in them.

The going's always good at the Premier Inn Hotel Ayr/A77 Racecourse. With great road, rail and air links, you'll be living it up or getting down to business in no time. Back a winner at the home of the Scottish Grand National and William Hill Gold Cup. Zip into Glasgow to see the sights. Get into the swing at some of the country's most famous and historic golf courses: Royal Troon and Turnberry. And when all the racing around is done, return to our friendly team, spacious rooms and super-comfy beds.
After a very disappointing recent visit to another Premier Inn my faith in Premier is restored. Superb service from walking through the door, great food and good room. Despite looking a little "tired" from the outside, service was really excellent and I would highly recommend the hotel for this level of service!

I really enjoyed my stay. The guest house is set in a peaceful, leafy part of the town and had all the facilities you could need. The room was bright and spotlessly clean, with a massive comfy bed which I was sad to leave behind! The room had all that you could need, including a walk in wardrobe, nice en-suite and coffee/tea area including a china cup and saucer. The staff were also lovely and genuinely helpful. I had paid £6 for an options breakfast and expected it to be continental for that price - but a full cooked breakfast was on offer, as well as variations such as Eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. A central buffet area complimented this with cereals, yoghurt and fruit. Really couldn’t fault the place and was most impressed. Very good value all round.

You'll be up, up and away before you know it with a stay at the Premier Inn Hotel Ayr/Prestwick Airport. We're the perfect launch pad for your flight and a handy base for exploring Ayrshire and the beautiful Firth of Clyde coastline. You could take to the legendary greens at Royal Troon or Turnberry. And when you've gone the distance, retreat to our tasty restaurant, spacious rooms and comfy beds.
It was a wee night away from the norm. Was our anniversary and didn't have a big budget. Wanted somewhere with a bath as we only have a shower and wanted to reeeelax back in a bath. Was what we expected and more, bath and shower were absoluteley spot on. Everything you need for a hotel stay!! Bed was comfy and there was, if needed a sofa bed and pull out bed, tea coffee and decent TV. Cannot fault the receptionist Karen, so, so helpful, courteous and a great people person!!!! This is the best ever hotel staff we have ever met.
