Nestled in the picturesque Adelaide Hill's village of Hahndorf the Hahndorf Inn Hotel has a rich combination of history & hospitality.Built in 1863, the hotel has retained many of its original features in "picture postcard" style.Open 7 days and serving b
Hahndorf is in the hills, about an hour's drive from Adelaide. It's like a little piece of Germany transplanted to South Australia, which isn't strange because the State welcomed many German immigrants. The sausages are tasty, the Germans love their wurst. almost as much as they love their beer. The staff are keen to take your order. Hahndorf is a good day-trip from Adelaide, just take it easy on the beer if you are driving.

A group of 4 work colleagues chose The German Arms hotel for dinner. Having been there a couple of times before I was interested in trying something new on the menu.I ordered the Jagerschnitzel which is a pork schnitzel with bacon and a nice gravy sauce with some hearty mash potato and some greens. As always the service is fast and pleasant and the portions are huge....very good value for money. We started with some wedges and some damper as well....but nearly too much to eat for us!They offer some very good German beers and a good selection of local wines as well. The atmosphere is pleasant and even though we picked trivia night the service was still very good and friendly. The German Arms is always a pleasure to eat at and Marketing I'll definitely be going again when next in Hahndorf SA.

Just a little stroll off the Hahndorf Academy/Centre is this little restaurant which combine es nice Australian cuisine with an arty ambience. We very much enjoyed the excellent service, which was at times a little rushed. The Brussel sprouts were nice but almost a bit overpowered by garlic! Mains (pulled lamb shoulder and haloumi) were excellent, the apple crumble outstanding! Hello! (Hallo) Thank you for your review. It was really wonderful having you with us. With the lantern festival taking place in town, all-day Saturday had been very busy day for us and your smiles and positivity were very much appreciated. So thank you! :-) I am very glad to know that you enjoyed your food overall, and we appreciate your thoughts regarding the Brussels sprouts. I will pass this onto the kitchen team. Thank you again for joining us, and I wish you well on the rest of your holiday. Kind regards, Erica

This tavern oozes heaps of charm and class. The food choices are very wide and varied. Some great pub fare with upmarket restaurant options. We opted for the upmarket menu options with some great specials. Food is very fresh, well produced and presented and not expensive...They also have a bottle shop attached for browsing your favourite wine..The service is great, very professional and friendly.. Only 30min up the freeway from Adelaide...Thank you for the lovely words. Glad you enjoyed the experience and our offering. We hope to see you again soon.Cheers,Pablo

Family friendly hotel in the Adelaide Hills. Enjoy great food in our fireside dining room or alfresco in the beer garden. Let the kids burn off steam in our family playground.
Absolutely salute the staff on an extremely busy Sunday arvo performance. We (four) dined on a range of smaller dishes while staff bent over to serve many, many Adelaide Hills adventurers. Warmed by open fires and quiet conversation we silently applauded as the Hotel staff supplied local hospitality. Genuinely super arvo. I shall book before - next time. PS we were there for a poetry reading; check Adelaide Hills' Writers

Arthur Waterhouse was the second owner of Mount Lofty House. While Arthur Hardy was known for lavish parties for Adelaide's elite, Arthur Waterhouse took a more relaxed approach to life and enjoyed nothing more than relaxing in his lounge and looking out
Booked in late in the afternoon and were looking for a casual drink and light meal. The bar is well stocked and the meals are very high quality. A little expensive however you really only get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Newly renovated historical hotel, with a quirky cafe, bakery and brewery. Come and be part of The Uraidla Republic! Great outdoor areas with views of our wonderful Hills regions; veg, vegan, child & cyclist friendly. Our vision is to embrace the history o
Disappointingly, I can't actually remember clearly what we all had to eat at the Uraidla Hotel but I do know that since our meal there I have suggested it to several others - so it was obviously good! I do remember how gorgeous the desserts looked and tasted...or I should say the 'Final Harvests' as they refer to them on the menu....far more glamorous than you would expect any 'pub puddings' to look. The only downside was that two of us chose wines by the glass that were not actually available - a bit irritating! Would definitely return.

Established in 1855, the Bridgewater Inn is one of South Australia's most historic pubs. With cosy open fires blazing in winter and the shady vine covered pergola by the creek in summer, the Bridgewater Inn is a venue for all seasons. On our upper level w
A truly beautiful spot with the most fabulous beer garden on different levels overlooking the stream which has been landscaped in a very natural way. A perfect spot for the kids to play while the adults relax at the tables nearby. Food was good. Prices good. Drinks menu good. Kids menu includes an activity package. Overall a perfect, relaxing place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The ambience was good specially the seating area outside specially during good weather. But Im a bit disappointed with the food. In the menu it was stated "crumbed pork with some kind of a calslaw with duck oil potatoes" Aahay It's basically a "huge shnitzel pork" with gravy!! Shintzel is one of my "not so favorite food"!! So I just have to eat and swallow it all since we paid for it!! Make the menu simple description so people could know exactly what they are ordering.Hello Nancy LThank you very much for taking the time to review us. We are disappointed to hear that our food did not meet your expectations in this instance. We attempt to make our dishes as easy to understand as possible, in the case of the dish you ordered, we chose to describe it as a crumbed pork cutlet, rather than a pork schnitzel, as it contains bone still. This is served with the kale, apple and muntries slaw and the duck fat kipfler potatoes. we apologise if this description wasnât clear enough. Your comments have been passed on to our kitchen team for review. We hope to see you again at the Stirling Hotel, in future if there are any dishes that you should require additional information on, I invite you to speak to one of our friendly team, who will be happy to help, ensuring that you are ordering what you are expecting.Kind regards,MathewManager
