Went to Red poles for daughters birthday. Had 4 kids with us under 7 , they were very well catered for and even had their own table next to us. Meals a bit hit and miss, 3 of us had the gnocchi which was very bland and oily. Another had pork belly also very bland . My husband had the Kangaroo which he said was the best he’s ever had and wanted to pass on his compliments to the chef .All in all a nice place but meals a little dissapointing , service was excellent though so that sort of made up for it .

You choose the cheese, crackers, olives, salami etc you want and they make up a platter. The home made foccacia with local olive oil is superb! Food was delicious and great value. Wine a bit overpriced considering it was their own cellar door but still very nice. We shared a platter and a glass of wine, then my wife spent an enjoyable hour here by the fire while I explored the Cube (which is amazing! Dont miss it)
