We come here every time we are in the area, today we had an amazing breakfast. Hubble had The big wave breakfast a huge breakfast, too big for him to finish but he gave it a good try. I had the Smashed avacado, poached eggs, beetroot relish and fetta . The flavours are just amazing the serve very generous and the coffee is great. All food reasonably priced , the staff are efficient and friendly ( all volunteers). The beach view of Chiton rocks is truly amazing and you may stay much longer than you expect. Do yourself a favour and find this hidden gem. Thanks for the great review!

My sister and I went here for brunch / lunch ( we had visited here about 12 months previously ) and we were not disappointed. Really friendly staff and a huge selection to choose from - this was difficult as too many tempting choices. We eventually settled for the Smashed Avo and Eggs and a tasty burger and chips for our mains. I had a lovely glass of local Bleasdale wine with my meal and my sister went for the iced coffee - thumbs up ! After a break , we both couldn't resist the the lemon tart which was divine. Would highly recommend.

Nice outdoor ambience overlooking vines outside on a warm day, friendly service, lovely fish pie, fine for a low key catch up with friends and family friendly. Not too crowded as is off the main Port Elliot tourist drag. Own wines on offer are quite OK. Small menu but good food from local chef. Would visit again.

Hectors On The Wharf is a cafe bar overlooking the Murray River in Goolwa, South Australia. The establishment itself is uniquely positioned on the historic Goolwa Wharf, and is accessible not only by foot or car, but by boat as well. The name of the cafe
The menu was extensive and it took a while for my daughter and me to finally choose the beef salad, and we both loved the fusion of flavours and the tenderness of the beef. We will have to return to try the other impressive menu choices. The atmosphere was relaxing, the décor suited the maritime location and the service was excellent. Loved the whole ambience of the place. If I lived in Goolwa, I'd want to eat here every day.

We've been passing Pipi's for quite a while - it is set back behind some trees on the main road. Finally we stopped in for breakfast with friends last Sunday. Great. Really interesting menu - I had hash potatoes (not the US style, but chopped small and fried), with smoked salmon and a couple of poached eggs on top. My wife had the special - eggs hollandaise with smoked trout. Friends had home-smoked beans, and bacon and egg roll. All just lovely, and with an individual feel to them. Coffee excellent too. Under $50 a couple. Lovely staff - run by young couple who employ 8 casuals. It is quite small inside, so I'd recommend going early, If the weather's good there's a pleasant courtyard out the back.
