staff and management are fantastic but premises are a bit tired looking, food selection is good but salad bar needs some attention overall needs to be modernised

Nice little tavern at the back of the liquorland drive thru bottle shop. Regular pub type meals, very reasonable pricing. Steak, roast and two drinks cost us $46. All mains come with free side of vegetables or salad from the self serve buffet. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The meals were well cooked and tasted good. Right on the main road, I would highly recommend. This would be a place I would go to regularly if I was a local.

Restaurant was full and we got the last available table on a Sunday for lunch. The deal for lunches is 2 for price of 1, however it was 2 hours before we received our lunch after ordering. There was nothing left for us in the salad bar.Staff very friendly and busy but appeared to be understaffed for the day. Food was OK. Wines good. Good location with adequate parking. Not in a hurry to return.
As a result of my constant statement to family and friends, 'I just want to make jam', and with the encouragement and support of friends, I embarked on a journey of food production, to combine my passion for cooking genuine food, and sharing it with other
We arrange business lunches for our staff monthly, and enjoying going to different places. it was a little later when we arrived, but they were still serving lunch. We placed our order and sat down, it was quite cold out the back. Lovely staff brought out our drinks and meals. We all enjoyed our meals, lasagnes, beef burgers, and toasties. Lovely local and fresh produce and meals also for sale. Well worth a visit! Thanks so much for your review. We are certainly working on our heating in the back room - being a previous woollen mill it's a little chilly sometimes. We installed a fireplace this winter and are hoping to make it even cosier for the next winter!

After been told by friends this is a must Pub to go to. Very disappointing, we hadnât been there for 5 years and everything is sooo tired and sad looking. Staff unfriendly, just doing a job. There is no Ambience to this place and it had a musty smell to the restaurant. Food was average, May go back again, however probably take another 5 years to give it another chance.

The South Eastern is the first hotel as you enter Mount Gambier from Victoria. The South Eastern offers a family friendly bistro with large separate kids playroom and is very popular with both the locals and tourists to the beautiful region. The South Eas

The club has a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. We tried the beef and chicken schnitzels, which were OK. The salad/veggie bar was a bit limited - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beetroot, potato salad and coleslaw. Could definitely do with more options. All in all, OK value for money.

Dined in the cider garden/bar area rather than the bistro. Pretty well the same menu and even though is the bar there are plenty of tables in the area. Must say i love their thursday night deal of chicken wings and craft beers. Also highly recommend their pizzas. Staff are lovely. Sometimes if busy night the wait time on meals can be a bit long, but overall really good consistent standard of food and service.
