Reviews on African food in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Limpopo (UK: /lɪmˈpoʊpoʊ/) is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River, which forms the province's western and northern borders. The name "Limpopo" has its etymological origin in the Northern Sotho language word diphororo tša meetse, meaning "strong gushing waterfalls". The capital is Polokwane (formerly Pietersburg).

We were enjoying the food but was in total awe with the decor. Everywhere was something special and interesting! The service and friendliness was out of this world. Because it is not in the main main road parking is better here as well. Well done guys!

The last ten years I visit this hotel/restaurant for 1 or 2 times a year.Food is always good and tasteful. ( seen 4-5 diff chefs passing by )I enjoyed it also again this time.Great place.Only little remark is we had one evening during our stay that there was a group from outside the hotel and that was to much for the employees.Dear Ronald K,Thank you very much for your feedback via tripadvisor. We are happy to hear that you have been enjoying our food for the last ten years. Thank you again for taking the time to rate us on tripadvisor and we hope to see you soon again.Kind regardsaha Sefapane Lodges and Safaris

The place has a relationship with Maroela Guest Lodge so my dinner was courtesy of the lodge. Its a different place from the norm. Its easy to find, about 2 minute drive from the lodge. They have these stuffed animals,LP's hanging from the ceiling plus pans...a great sushi bar and a kiddies play area.I had Tbone with pap.A great meal which I enjoyed. When in the area I would like to explore this place a little bit more.

Khaya Ndlovu is situated in the Khaya Ndlovu Game Reserve, surrounded by nature, yet a stoneâs throw away from Hoedspruit, gateway to the greater Kruger - wildlife haven of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. The core of our establishment, the Manor House
There are so many amazing memories from our first trip to South Africa but I have to say that our dinner on the last night at Khaya Ndlovu Manor House made it perfect! My only regret is that we didn't get to actually stay at the reserve. If our dining experience is any indication of the customer service and attention to detail that was shown to us for a few hours, I can only imagine how wonderful a stay would be at this beautiful Manor House! We were initially unsure if the restaurant was open to the public or if it was just for guests. With all the great reviews on tripadvisor about Khaya Ndlovu, I called ahead to see if I could book dinner. I was told that we could and they would need at least a 24-48 hour notice. This worked out perfectly for our last night in Limpopo. They were also very helpful with adjusting the evening's menu for one of our party with diet restrictions. The interesting part was when I was speaking to the person on the phone I was told that the meal could be served to our convenience since we were the only guests. The reality of that statement didn't impact me until our arrival. From the moment we drove up and were greeted in the driveway by not one but two of the staff, to the final dinner course, everything really was perfection! And the earlier remark made by the staff that took our reservation was brought home as we were escorted to the dining area and discovered that we were the only party having dinner. A lovely table was set for the four of us next to the pool deck that overlooked the reserve. It really was magical! The staff was extremely welcoming and outgoing. The four course meal was divine! From the scampi dish for my friend to the meat dish served to the rest of us! Everything from presentation to flavor was wonderful. We all enjoyed our meal immensely and having the Chef and his assistant to come out to meet us and check on our meal was the perfect touch!Thank you to everyone at The Khaya Ndlovu Manor House for making our visit to memorable! We hope to return for a stay!

Run by locals who are "on the job", know the importance of a smile, great service and a chilled beer glass, this is the kind of place every community should have.Simple, but very good and tasty "pub grub" - though the reality is that it is better than that, this is the kind of place that friends meet, and friendships can even be made.Throw in a wonderful location, the odd passing donkey or emu - this is just a wonderful place to eat, drink, relax and chill! And we have been coming here for months...

Had the buffet breakfast this morning. Spread of scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken livers, russians, baked beans, pap with sheba and toast. The Boer coffee with condensed milk was a perfect finish. Service was efficient and friendly. Little one had to be called a couple of times to finish her food as she had a great time on the playground. R70 an adult and R35 for the kids. Wish we could stay for the lunch beef potjie!
