Good service and the food is excellent. We had fillet steaks and without a doubt better than both Dros or Spur. Kids could prepare their own pizzas which they thoroughly enjoyed. Playground for kids the best. Good portions of food and the whole family enjoyed Pappachinos

Cafe del Sol Botanico When the seed of Cafe del Sol was planted many years ago, we nourished, nurtured and tended it with love and pride. As Cafe del Sol grew and blossomed, we, and our guests, grew with it. From the fruit of Cafe del Sol, a new seed took
A friend and I had lunch at Café del Sol. Being winter, we chose to be seated inside. We thought we had decided on our food choice when the waiter took us through the specials of the day - we both changed our minds and ordered the bacon and brie fillet. Wow, it was superb - tender meat under baked brie and surrounded by crispy bacon - a feast of tastes! We shared a glass of wine and declined dessert.Hello LesThank you for this extraordinary detailed review! We are thrilled to have provided you with food of such strong praise! This is indeed the standard that we aim for.We hope to see you soon for another glass of vino.Kindest regards,The Botanico team

Welcome to il Gusto. A Ristorante with a fusion of great Italian & other famous Mediterranean dishes. All of our dishes are freshly prepared with the tastiest ingredients & the greatest of care, some could take a little longer. So sit back, relax, enjoy t
I love the dispensers that dispense wine and other drinks. We all ordered gin and tonics and got them in a dispenser with all the garnish, though I would have preferred my own double with sugar free tonic! We all ordered half portions, because the portions were just too big. Less is more sometimes. We were still charged full price for the dishes. The room where we were eating was very dingy and quite depressingI liked the cheese being grated on our pasta at the table, though question if it was real parmesan, as the texture and flavour were not of parmesan as I know it.Good evening, thank you for your detailed review. The Gin tower's are only made on order by the customer, which choose their favourite Gin and their tonic preference, was the tower perhaps ordered by another guest at the table, as we would have served all the Gin's individually as per order with a sugar free tonic.Regarding the charge of full portions, i would like to look in to this, please would you be so kind to email me that bill,as only the management can place the order and over ride the system to order half portions. We will gladly refund the difference that was over charged. The Parmesan we use at the table's and in the kitchen is imported Grana Padano only, please would you contact me on 083 324 9901, as i would like to rectify this experience, please send me that bill to [email protected] , have a great weekend , regards iL Gusto Team.

This place promotes itself as a premium restaurant. Don't be fooled by the fake advertising. Its noisy and overpriced. We went for an evening with business partners. We could hardly talk to each other as the noise level in the restaurant as determined by a Cell noise level app was 86 decibels. That's like sitting by a very noisy road. The food was very average. My T-Bone stake was nothing more than a Rump with bone on two sides. Roast potatoes were soggy and the puree completely missing. All this for R350.00!! Rip off. When I complained to the floor manager he simply did not comprehend that a T-Bone stake should have meat on both sides of the T.The cutlery on the tables was basic canteen standard. I would have had a better experience at a franchise restaurant at a third of the price.

Casa Bella Mall of Africa is an authentic Italian restaurant that serves Woodfired Pizza, Pasta, and Grills with the best, fresh homemade ingredients.
Went here for a meal with my wife and it was such a great experience. It was a Sunday afternoon and we we decided to return to this restaurant after have a good meal here a few months ago. Our waitress was top notch. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Our starters and meals were perfect. We had the calamari starter which is one of the best I have had. The buffalo mozzarella pizza is also really good (but we did wonder if it was real buffalo mozzarella)The Florentine steak is also a winner and I would recommend it to any meat lover. Hey have a very decent wine list as well. And the desserts are delicious. Would recommend Will definitely returnHi Vanman,Grazie for the fantastico review of our family restaurant. We are thrilled to know you and your wife enjoyed your recent dining experience with us and the Casa Bella family. We hope you have many more five-star experiences with us.Kind regards,Casa Bella

Lanser's on Main serves exquisite home-styled Italian and French food with an ambience to match. Weâre open from 11:00 â 21:30 every day, except Sundays. Weâre always looking forward to welcoming you.
It all started well. The interior looked fun, quirky and arty and the chef/owner was friendly and hands-on. The starters were all delicious - our group had the fish cakes, springbok carpaccio and fried haloumi. For mains the T-bone was beautifully done and the pesto pasta good. My porcini risotto, however, was far too rich and porridgy and the pork belly was miles too sweet. I want to recommend to the owner that he adds a few healthier alternatives to the menu. Many modern patrons will take issue with all the rich food, fried starches and highly sugared items. The service was slow and rather absent. Would I go back? Probably not. Thank you for taking the time to post your review, hannetjieeWe're so glad you enjoyed the personal and hands-on service of Lanser's on Main. Our goal is that all of our guests enjoy a relaxed evening with tasty classic Bistro food. For us it's always about the full experience. We're sorry that didn't translate all the way through for you. Thank you for your feedback on food. It's always important to hear from our guests. I am sorry we didn't have an opportunity to chat about your thoughts on the evening. I love chatting with guests about their meals, especially if there's something that doesn't agree with their expectation.Friday evening was a difficult night with a Tenant Opening Party that was going on in the parking lot (we had nothing to do with that). It was noisy and we did have to put out a few fires with regular guests frustrated on the night with the lack of parking. If our attention was lacking, I do apologise.--Lanser

Always a treat. Arguably Joburg's finest Italian-inspired eatery, serving classic Italian dishes, some with a local flair, and a few other international fine-dining offerings. The risotto is an absolute triumph, as is the gnocchi. The Porcini chicken with pea risotto as a Secondi will rival the quality of any Tuscan Michelin-star offering, and the roasted butternut ravioli with Porcini-Truffle cream and candied walnuts is perfection personified. Desserts are inspirational. The pavlova is incredibly special, as is the Salted Caramel Brûlée with popcorn Gelato. Expect fine dining, beautiful decor, prices that are slightly higher than the norm (although very reasonable if one considers the serving sizes and the quality), impeccable service and a fantastic wine list and drinks menu, with reasonably priced cocktails. This is a top-class establishment serving only the finest of Italian pastas, meats, seafood, desserts and drinks. Not only one of Joburg's finest, but one of the finest Italian eateries South Africa has to offer. Café Del Sol Classico is an institution. You will leave with a smile on your face and an even bigger smile in your belly. Hello BradWow. Thank you for an incredibly written review. This is so refreshing to read and we truly appreciate your honest feedback. You have understood exactly what we are trying to do. Quality food with finesse. We hope to see you soon and again.. thank you. This makes everything we do, worth it.Regards,The Classico team

This delightful spot is in Mooiplaats, Pretoria, so it does feel like a bit of an escape from city life. Complete with a bit of dirt road to travel on. Us city dwellers need that now and again! The warm and welcoming ambience immediately transported us back to our time spent in the Cape Winelands a week or so ago. Bliss! We arrived just as the doors opened, and I realized soon afterwards that we were probably very lucky to get a table without a reservation, so that is something to remember next time. The wine list is concise, but really impressive and we immediately recognized some personal favourites. The @oakvalleywines Fountain of Youth #sauvignonblanc was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. You can expect country-style comfort food that is absolutely delicious and prepared and presented beautifully. I opted for the wild mushroom risotto and believe me, it was divine! Served with asparagus and chickpea fritters, this was such a tasty and hearty dish. It was a good-sized portion (in my words = large) and I finished all of it! Every last bite.My hubby had the Italia pizza (with added anchovies) and it truely was a feast for the eyes. I didn't taste it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe next time!I only realized recently that the legendary Chef Pellie Grobler is at the helm of this restaurant. The quality of the meals speak volumes! Continuing his mission to change Pretoria one meal at a time. Great job!We will definitely be back - I saw quite a few dishes on the menu that I will be dreaming about until then! Oh yes, and that wild mushroom risotto.

Always the same quality service from the same staff. The fresh food is always flawlessly prepared - great Tiramisu, coffee and grappa at the end of the meal
