We went there spontaneously, but were kindly offered two seats although the restaurant is normally booked out. The food was very high level, but still the portions were quite satisfying. Everything is homegrown and the meat and fish is sourced locally, which you can definitely taste. Staff was very friendly and even packed us something to go. Thanks for that. We can definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone staying the area.

At arrival we saw a sign that warned us for shortage of staff for some reason. So I asked whether we could have lunch within an hour and continue our route to JNB. The young woman immediately took charge and alerted other staff members. We got really quick and I have to say the quality of the food was a surprise to us all. I had a trout salad, which was really fresh and good. This is not something to expect at a highway restaurant. Very good!Good afternoon HarryThank you for your review of Millys on the TripAdvisor website. We are so pleased to read that you had such a good experience at Millys. Our aim is always to provide an efficient fast service with quality locally sourced produce, sometimes there are challenges. Great coffee and food in a relaxing atmosphere on a lake. This was the best coffee we had in our two week stay in South Africa and the Belgian waffles and quiche were very good also. We visited several mornings after discovering Shiloh.

We were welcomed like VIP. Excellent service from our waiter. The steak was the best I've ever tasted. The stuffed lamb was just as amazing. The portions were more than enough.
