Leros (Greek: Λέρος) is a Greek island and municipality in the Dodecanese in the southern Aegean Sea. It lies 317 kilometres (197 miles) (171 nautical miles) from Athens's port of Piraeus, from which it can be reached by an 8.5-hour ferry ride (or by a 45-minute flight from Athens). Leros is part of the Kalymnos regional unit. The island has been also called in Italian: Lèro and in Turkish: İleriye.

I like 7 gates, I've been there quite often and everytime it's like walking to home. The meals are huge and I would say they could serve two people - like every meal. Omelettes bigger then your head, the prettiest and delicious greek yogurt with fruit that challenges you to finish it all, crepes that would serve a family... But the biggest treat is having a beer there, let me tell you it's not the cheapest on the island but it's excellent and it always comes with a "beer plate" - which means you basically get a free meal and what kind of meal. It's all the cheese, tzatziki, fruit, nuts etc etc that you can eat. I don't know how they do it on top of the excellent hospitality but they do it!

Have visited "Glaros" (the seagull) since my first visit to Leros in 1993 it has always been the place to meet or wait to welcome or leave on a ferry watching the fisherman at work or the world pass by. Coffee and snacks have always been good and fairly priced but under new management the menu has been improved and extended still with the same attentive service. It would be hard to miss a visit to the Seagull (Glaros)

I was staying at the hotel, breakfast was absolutely superb. Had lunch and dinner once, nothing wrong with the food but somehow nowhere near as enjoyable as their breakfast offering.Lovely setting with lots of shade and views across to the beach, one well behaved black cat.Live music on 2 nights with the taverna doing a roaring trade with customers dancing one lively evening.Lunch and dinner fine but unremarkable whereas breakfast was memorable.

This was the best food I had in Leros! Greek classics but with interesting twists, like the tomato chutney and rocket salad with pomegranate and pieces of Leros cheese. Lots of dishes contain local products and are very fresh and tasty. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. View over the bay is amazing in the pink sunset.Best restaurant in Leros

I visit Leros first time we went to skippers for brunch it was exellent my omelette was tastefull and the coffee very good. We saw the menu (and the prices) and we came back the 3rd day for dinner, it was also great I eat the angler!! boom in my mouth GREAT! All the staff was always ready and cheerfull. Keep on...
