A very warm welcome o me and my dog from the host, Panayiotis, who re-built the old kafeneio himself. He made an excellent saganaki with local cheese and a hearty tomato and paximadi salad with lashings of olive oil and oregano, and offered a dish of arakas (peas and potatoes in a tomato sauce) on the house as he'd just made it. Lively conversation and a very friendly atmosphere.

Had drinks at this hip spot. Their cocktails were very good, and the service was attentive. Perfect views of the castle. They have quite a few 'private' balconies where you can enjoy your drink . Quality of drinks is high and as such priced accordingly.Thank you ! ! !

Traditional Cretan cuisine, Mediterranean, Coffeehouse Our location is at the harbour of Pera Gialos,you can taste our food,under the majestic view of the Castle of Guerini. We named our restaurant Salis who was the"black boatman" of chania(town of Crete)

Just what we needed after a long day on the beach.Simple and beatiful seating.All mezedes were homemade and taken care of.The owners and young and very friendly,they were very helful and gave that extra to the experice.All in all exeptional.Keep up the good work.Definetly will be back!!

We ate here several times over our two week stay on the island. Every single visit we were made to feel welcome, received excellent service and the food was perfect. We particularly enjoyed various omelettes for lunch. The Greek crepe was fantastic. The fresh lemonade was excellent too.Also worth getting ice creams from the shop next door which is run by the same people - these are to die for and there are just so many choices.
