Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Syros-Ermoupoli, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It is also the capital of the South Aegean region. Nice choice if you fancy a burger for a change and you are in the center of the town. Try the local version of burger with local cheese and mixed meat.

We tried great pies with very thin crust - spinach pie, fennel pie, zucchini pie - they were all amazing! Other choices are great, too: salads, piroshki, etc. One of our favourite spots in Hermoupolis.
