We do not pretend to be Europeans only. We proudly stand at the crossroads between East and West.
Definitely the best local and mediterranian food we tasted so far. The place makes you smile with its friendly service and exceptional decoration. We tried the dishes of the day (yummy!) with a wonderful local white wine. Surprisingly cheap prices and a relaxed atmosphere painted with interesting musical choices. The place to visit if you enjoy blending in the good life of the island!

We find this restaurant because someone suggested as one with really good food and with really good price.. When we got there, the owner of the restaurant was very nice with us and he really make feel nice.. He suggested us some of the main dishes and some of the topical dishes.. Everything was really good and the price was very low.. I suggest this restaurant if you ever wanna try some good topical food..

I honestly don't understand the "hype" about this place from other reviews. Staff was friendly but the food...We ordered grilled squids and got a small portion of over cooked squid "swimming" in acidic lemon creamy sauce. Other portions were not as big & tasty as in neighboring tavernas. We never came back.

The very good rating is for the venue and the food, not necessarily the service. The tavern is a lovely restaurant right on the beach at Kini, but with great shade cover from the sun. We watched the beach and the waves, the people on the beach and it was so lovely. Food was tasty, beer was cold. Rest room were across the road and very clean.Iâd come here every day! Service was slow but matched the laid back atmosphere

Also has rooms to let above the taverna. Owners are Prindezi brothers.Small family run business, traditional greek cuisine.
I have reviewed this place before and it stays wonderful. The owners are so in tune with their customers and nothing is too much bother. We travelled many miles to Syros and despite staying in Galissas, we wanted to go to Poseidonia to visit Meltemi. Iâm sure you wonât be disappointed.

Good evening. A wonderful place with a spectacular view. The staff are lovely, polite and smiling. The prices for the portions are very good, the flavors are beautiful and they are perfectly connected to each other. A treasure of flavors for the majestic Syros.I propose it to you unreservedly.

De la Gracia is a great restaurant! Very pleasant atmosphere with super friendly staff and absolutely delicious food! The best choice for a summerry night. We had dinner and enjoyed fresh seafood and a very tasty spinach salad. The lemon dessert was also awesome. Congratulations!! The best restsurant in Syros for me! I will definately go back!

We came here a couple of time when in Galissas as it was so good. A very nice clean restaurant right on the beach offering good food and great service all at a reasonable price. We had the local wine which is quite reasonable especially for its price and a couple of starters which came with some lovely dips. You can see there are quite a few regular customers which is always good. Highly recommend the place.

Came here a few times 3 years ago so return visit 2 nights ago. Owner Georgios remembered us. Good food and nice, attentive service and prices reasonable. Had zucchini balls & meat balls starters with burger main & steak main (which could have been even better with a sauce if it had been available?) plus drinks for approx â¬40. Hope to return during our stay!
Where to eat Greek food in Galissas: The Best Restaurants and Bars

The freshest seafood just feet from the sea! Enjoy your cool drink at the bar or enjoy a meal on our sweet little dock ;) Quick service and unique dishes combined with scenery that you will not find anywhere else in the island! See you soon? ;)
We made the mistake to dare to have lunch here and were mislead by the little front porch bordering to the sea directly by the beach of Achladi. We even found the logo with the bitten pear and the fish quite funny... We only found out afterwards what a terrible mistake we made. The female owner, she introduced herself to us as 'Maria', didn't want to give us one of the tables on the porch, for they were supposed to be reserved for other guests, that never appeared during the tantalizing time of our stay there. We got the menu that was not exactly clean, but felt a bit sticky due to some unidentified stuff. The prices could have let a normal owner of a restaurant on the neighboring island of Mykonos blush, we were told that we should better get an appetizer and a main course each of us in order to be satisfied. We dared to order one Greek salad to share as an appetizer and two main courses, which was answered with a sneer of the waiter. We were left to wait for the drinks, the red wine was way too warm and we were told that Greeks drink their red wine like this. We both had nagging doubts that Greeks like to drink warm wine out of not exactly clean glasses. We had to wait considerably long to get a soda pop in order to be able to swallow the hard bread that was 'on the house' (as if we couldn't afford to pay it). The Greek salad, we were instructed to order it in future as a 'Greek farmer salad' (horiatiki), was surely made by an onion farmer, for it mainly consisted of clumsily chunked onions with some shreds of tomatoes and cucumber. Salt and pepper in cellars were slammed on the table and accompanied by the instruction that 'Greeks know how to prepare their own salad according to their taste'. The meat main course and the fish main course were too long in a pan/on a grill to be considered even as well done. Again we dared to utter our opinion on that detail and were met with 'In Greece we eat it like this'. No wonder that we declined a dessert on the house and were told that the POS (electronic pay system) had a problem that day and that we should pay cash, hence one of us swiftly drove to Ermoupolis to get some money from the first banking machine in order to pay the bill. All in all: anyone who wants to burn his/her money for bad food, bad service, mediocre warm red wine in almost clean glasses on Syros should better throw his money away and spend the rest of the day without food than to eat here. It was the worst restaurant we ever had in Greece. A true shame!LeonKennick, we are so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. We understand that sometimes things can and will go wrong and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We wish to do you right next time if you are ever nearby come by and let us show you how welcome you are in our little restaurant :)
