A spot of white in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, the island of Naxos is a unique blend of ancient ruins and beach culture. The largest of the Cycladic Islands, Naxos is the childhood home of none other than Zeus, king of the gods. Upon arrival in Naxos, hike over a causeway to Palatia, where the Portara, a stone gateway to an ancient temple that no longer exists, stands alone, the symbol of the island. At sunset, the views of the island, and the sea beyond, are breathtaking.

Design restaurant in the old town of naxos with mediterranean cuisine
We passed by this charming place and decided to stop, sadly the one open walkway-side table was reserved so we sat inside. Two of us ordered two appetizers: Greek salad and pork with eggplant and cheese. Both of these dishes were good, but nothing special. However, the main dish we ordered (to share), penne with chicken and mustard, was inedible. We both took a bite and we were literally disgusted. We didn't eat it at all. Beyond not checking on us after dropping off the main course, the server didn't even bother to ask why we hadn't touched the dish. Also, the service was generally slow and inattentive. Between the inedible dish and service, strongly recommend you continue on the next charming restaurant.

what a nice spot to eat lunch after renting a beach chair and spending a few hours at the beach. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English, a nice surprise! Had a great cheeseburger with fries and an aloe vera pomegranate drink, special to Naxos....Really enjoyed my stay here, would definitely return if given the option!

Fresh creative Greek and Mediterranean cuisine using the best local Naxos ingredients, fresh fish and seafood. Romantic atmosphere and chilled music by the pool at Kavos Naxos.
We decided to try the restaurant for the final night of our holiday in Naxos and werenât disappointed. The tables were outside next to the swimming pool of the hotel offering a perfect view of the sunset. The menu is extensive with something for everyone: pastas, meat, fish and even vegetarian and vegan options. There are also a range of specials every day. We chose from across the menu and everyone in the group was delighted with what they had chosen. The service was friendly and efficient. Given the location, the quality of the food and the service the prices are reasonable. If you want the perfect experience time you reservation for 30 minutes before sunset and try to get a table by the pool to watch the sun set over Paxos. If youâre in the Agio Anna area the Stelida restaurant is definitely worth a visit for a special dining experience.

Wine bar, Greek wines, organic et bio dynamic culture. A fusion food cooked with local produce. We offer tapas and some French dishes as well and Caribbean Curry. All our food is homemade , cooked with fresh Naxian ingrédients. Gluten free.
We specifically looked for this restaurant due to all the hype on TripAdvisor, as we felt like something different, food and atmosphere wise. Atmosphere was good in a small side street, but squashy. There are small tables close together, a bit like one long table with small gaps. It can be uncomfortable conversation wise, it certainly stops any private conversations, especially when you have someone slightly diagonally opposite that you donât know and youâre both awkwardly trying not to stare at each other. The menu has a range of choices for a small place. We started with a salad and chicken wings. Then rabbit and king prawns and profiteroles for dessert. The food was basic at best. We drank the only Rose on offer. The wine was no more than a 3/5 and the only choice of Rose, there were many choices of white and red but we prefer Rose. I feel like the quality of food was like being at a friendâs house for dinner, where itâs more about the company not the food. Iâve actually cooked better meals myself. I appreciate the owners passion for cooking and wanting to share, but sometimes a hobby should just remain a hobby. An overpriced meal for what youâre getting! Your judgment and rating are very rude. You have chosen to sit down and you have chosen this table! no tables or menus with prices are hidden. When you told me about wine, it was very good ... We only have one because people usually drink more white and red wine. Also, as you say, our place is small and we can not do anything about it. The dishes ! and everything came back completely empty and you were very pleased with your choices apparently since you used the word amazing !!!! What happened last night where you were happy and today at the time of noting so severely? We are sorry that someone listens to your conversation .... In the vineyard people communicate from table to table which is the particularity and charm of our little hiddem gem !! We do not pretend to be a starred "restaurant", but all the food is fresh and cooked every day and of course that entails a cost! I'm sure you're a good cook who enjoyed her meal last night! Thank you both for your kindness ... Happy holidays

Absolutely enjoyed our lunch at this taverna. Beautiful outdoor courtyard and very friendly waitstaff to suggest house specials. We had a very generous plate of local cheeses, several made by the family which were superb. Our favourite Alpha beer served ice cold and a sensational fresh fish grilled with local vegetables. Would go back and after a month on Naxos this was one of our top rated eating experiences. Worth a day trip from Naxos Chora.

On the terrace of the historical "Ursulines School" building, in the castle of Naxos, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Naxos while having your coffee, drink or homemade snack and dessert.
Only wish we had found this place before.Good menu, reasonable prices, considering the location and viewing platform as well.On ordering we received free chilled water, attentive service by the young staff and excellent variety of fresh food. For those who have difficulty climbing the old town there is a lift.would certainly came again

Restaurant-bar on the beach with typical italian food, pasta, sandwiches and pizza. Beers, wines, cocktails and coffees.
Judging from the reviews we expected this place to be great. Especially so since it is owned by Italians. This is why we were surprised to see that they have frozen pizza dough. We tried it and it was really not that good. Far from it! The one thing that we can recommend is Tiramisu. So go for sweets and coffee, eat lunch somewhere else. Good evening Mr./Mrs Tijiana MLet's go to the point, it' is written on the menu' that the pizza it is frozen, it is your choice!Have a nice evening Mr/Mrs Tijiana M.

It doesnât matter where your hotel is we highly recommend you make your way to Agios Prokopios and the Giannoulis family tavern and enjoy a choice of traditional home cooking. Excellent service from the moment you arrive. All the meals are very generous in size. The soutzoukakia (meatballs) are amazing. As are the Rosto pork roast, fricasse lamb, moussaka, chicken and pork souvlaki and the lamb chops. The hand cut chips are superb. And donât forget to try a traditional sweet desert such as galaktoboureko , melachrino, kataifii or baklava. A visit to Naxos is not complete without visiting the Giannoulis family tavern. We enjoyed a great dinner here which is right on Saint Georgeâs beach. We had fresh pasta with tuna steak and an amazing ribeye which came with corn fritters and Naxian potatoes and was cooked to perfection. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list. The service was excellent â our waiter was attentive and engaging. We received a complimentary bunch of grapes for dessert.
