Sitting where the Phoenician colony of Hadrumetum once stood nearly 3,000 years ago, the modern-day Sousse is a resort destination, especially popular with Europeans. Sometimes called "the Pearl of the Sahel" (referring to the central section of Tunisia's eastern shoreline), Sousse is prized for its excellent beaches. Arab-Islamic since the 7th century AD, the city has many fascinating attractions, like the 9th-century Great Mosque, and its medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visited here in August 2010. Food was great and drinks too. Only downside is the size of the place. It's massive and means the staff are tun off their feet trying to setve everyone.

We started with soup which was delicious nice n spicey as we love spicey food. This was followed by cabbage and eggs n peper condiments which was also very good. We both had couscous one lamb n one chicken - very tastey!! Would have given 5 * but the only thing was place was a little grimey could have been cleaner!!!

This was an absolute treasure to find, a very cozy restaurant. Was here with a friend on a November night. I had the snails as a starter, maybe a bit too big portion, but very tasty. I had some traditional couscous with meat for main course, also very tasty and again somewhat a bit too big portion. Along with this we had some delicious Tunisian red wine. Absolutely recommend you to try this restaurant.

I love the delicious food, the atmosphere, and the view. The owner and his wife are so hospitable and the aroma and tastes, so nice. I like the outer upper area for bringing friends to enjoy a meal and a beautiful sunset.

Next to the Saloon Bar listed as #5 in Sousse. Run as separate restaurant though - would love to give it the glowing review it deserves.
We used to eat here every Sunday after church. It got so busy we couldn't find a table. They only have a few non-smoking tables. Our son always ordered the medallions of filet. I ordered the Turkey with cream mushroom sauce. It's great. My wife enjoyed the small salad bar. It would be better if it had more meats.

We are there for my sisters birthday dinner, while we were in holiday, after Reading the reviews. I'm so glad I did. The service was great. Food was delicous. We had a party of 11 and everyone loved it. No complaints. Definitely visit this place.

Instead of grope we got two succulent whole dourads, and instead of ice cream a refreshing lime sherbet to clean the palate before cantaloupe and strawberries. As a surprize shotglasses of hot, not too sweet mint tea was served as a digestive. I am not sure if the bisque was made of lobster or crab. Delicious and creamy anyway. Mussels were a disappointment. Mostly empty shells and grossly overdone.

This was recommended by a local, as a comparatively expensive but very highly regarded restaurant. It was indeed very good both, fish of the day was excellent as well as a selection of starters. I'd say it was well worth the extra money. The service was very polite, if a little hesitant, and the atmosphere was really nice despite the restaurant being quiet during off-season. We'd ended up buying so much food that they kindly packaged it up for us to take away.
Recommended :-)
