Reviews on African food in Ouarzazate, Souss-Massa-Draa Region, Morocco. The tiny Moroccan town of Ouarzazate is a caramel-colored oasis set against a clear blue African sky. Be inspired by Ait Benhaddou, a beautifully preserved Kasbah that's a UNESCO World Heritage site, or walk in the starry path of celebrities by taking a tour of one of Ouarzazate's two movie studios. Tour the surrounding dunes on camel-back, or simply bask in the quiet bustle of the bargaining sessions at local markets.

It doesnât look like much from the street, but once we walked upstairs- wow. The rooftop space was quite elegant, and service impeccable. We enjoyed our meal and wine very much. It truly was our favorite meal during our week in Morocco.Thank you so much for visiting the restaurant, and taking time to make a comment, enjoy your visit and hope to see you again, thank you.

The restaurant is located in a housing area and so not somewhere you would just stumble across, but it is 100% worth a little bit of effort to find. There is a parking area 50m from the restaurant, 20 dirhams and the guy keeps an eye on the car as well. Once you get into the restaurant it is simply stunning, absolutely amazing decor and interior design. Even if the food wasnât great (which it is) it would be worth going for the interior alone.Didier (the owner) made us feel very welcome and the food was outstanding. We both had the mixed cold starters with âsamosasâ which were like lovely veg spring rolls. All of the small dishes were excellent and plenty of it as well. My wife is vegetarian and this was all fine for her as well. Then the main courses were also v good. A basil and cheese tagliatelle for my wife (made to order) and the tastiest tagine yet for me.Superb restaurant, stylish, friendly and great food. For a location and food like this in the UK you would be paying at least 5 times as much. Definitely worth a visit
