Sosua is everything you want a beach town to be. Clear waters teem with coral, perfect for snorkeling and diving. Above sea level you’ll find multicolored sands lined with beach shacks. This small enclave of the Dominican Republic was once a haven for Jewish refugees. Historic sites and synagogues offer great perspective on Sosua’s postwar identity. On a lighter note, a community of ex-pats helps fuel a boisterous, international nightlife scene.

"City" Bar & Restaurant is a small, stylish restaurant located in the Casa Valeria Hotel, perfect for breakfast, lunch or romantic dinner. The cozy bar is a great spot for cocktails. Our staff has many years of training and experience, working at several restaurants. We have developed our menu to appeal to the diverse tastes of our international patrons. Our meals are prepared with extreme care and high quality ingredients. We wash our vegetables very carefully. Our goal is to serve a very tasteful meal, cooked with great care and outstanding cleanliness. Restaurant Casa Valeria is located near the entrance of the Casa Valeria Hotel, one of Sosua's first hotels. The restaurant is a short stroll from the gorgeous Sosua Beach, and just steps from the nightlife district. We are looking forward to see and serve you!!!
Went for dinner with friends. Had a great meal experience. Food was really good. Much preferred the old setting. It makes us feel like we are in a cafeteria or a sports bar. it is not romantic like it was before the renovations.
Would defiantly go back for the food

Mariel and her Team is welcoming you for great German and international food. The restaurant is not esay to find, on top of the Hotrl, but shure when you get there and have eaten there, you will like it. It is open only for dinner from 5 to 11 PM and its closed on Wednesday.
Went for dinner Dec 17 2016. wasn't even sure if it was open. They had to dust off the tables after we were seated, then they started sweeping the floor, and rearranging tables, restocking the bar. We thought we were imposing on them. The food was decent and fair quantity. The killer came when we left and noticed 2 rat traps sitting right beside the stairs, made us want to upchuck.
Menu has not changed in forever. Décor is getting shabby once again not updated in forever. Always used to see the owner present but not lately.
Eaten here many times in the past
Not likely to return

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Largest selection of cigars I've seen yet in the DR. Cigar prices are much higher than expected (much higher than the U.S. prices). I'm no expert but many of the "Cuban" cigars were fake. They have the same label as the fake ones in Mexico. At least cigars were in a climate controlled room. All the other cigars I've seen around town are sold right off the shelves with no humidity or temp control.

Dinning with some vegetarians, we ordered two pizzas and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the food. The service here is also excellent when comparing to other restaurants in the area. I saw some incredible pasta dished delivered to nearby tables. If in the area again I would not hesitate to return to Bologna.

Britannia is such a great spot, located downtown in the heart of things, great food, reasonable pricing, friendly owner and staff. A great place to watch your sporting events, play trivia, or just simply sit on their well maintained patio and people watch. A must visit while in Sosua. Great job Ryan !

A definite must visit while on the beach, excellent rib dinner with fries, market pricing but still reasonable, large order is more than enough for sharing between the two of us. Ribs take a while, but well worth the wait, clean, friendly servers and private washroom facilities, which is rare on the beach.

Sinatra Restaurant and Music Lounge is a very welcoming and extraordinary place to visit in your stay in Sosua. Great, great Staff including the Owner Steve, they make you feel like family @home. It's the best hang out at night with live music band, and also the owner Steve sings with his partner on some nights. You can also Karaoke at any point, dance or just sip & relax to the music.. "if you are looking for the BEST ambiance with the most DELICOUS cuisine, night entertainment , great staff & service , very classic modern décor , I highly recommend Sinatra, mention my name Gladys & Miguel..this is how great this place is, they know you and remember you by name..Please make your business to visit & enjoy as we always do when we go to Sosua.
