Our hotel’s unique harbourside location right in the heart of Sortland offers panoramic views of the fjord and scenic Vesterålen mountains, with the majestic Møysalen mountain at the helm. Scandic Sortland has a modern decor with 128 rooms. On our ground floor, you’ll find our reception, lobby, meeting rooms, restaurant and a monumental glass facade with views of Vesterålen. Our hotel has 3 meeting rooms and a large conference hall that can be divided into 3 smaller rooms. Our central location makes our hotel the obvious choice. The Sortland Culture Factory is our next-door neighbour and here you’ll find a cinema, library, culture centre and more. Sortland is located in the middle of Vesterålen and is a geographical and communicational hub for the region. Vesterålen offers fantastic nature experiences all year around. Here you'll enjoy beautiful nature with majestic mountains and fjords, white sandy beaches and the ocean close by. If you enjoy culture, sports, wellness, speed and excitement, then Sortland is the perfect starting point. With unique sea and mountain views, our hotel is perfect for active and adventurous guests. The closest airport is Stokmarknes Airport, about 20 minutes from the centre, and Harstad-Narvik Airport in Evenes is about 1 hour 45 minutes away by car. If you arrive by car, we have plenty of parking spaces right outside our hotel.

Depressing
Reviewed By Kim-Anders SHad a pitstop in Sortland in one of my work travels. Sortland hotel looked really good on their webpage. So I called in to book a room and was told they were full but they had a room in this extra hotell. I thought ok, thats no problem. During checkin they told me where this extra hotel was located but the breakfast was in the main building. That's weird but ok. So I went down to this place and oh my. It was so depressing. Not your typical hotel. Looked like an old school or something. Got into the room and it was old and unclean. So I checked out of this hotel an drove to Stokmarknes.

when a guest get sick while staying at this hotel
Reviewed By 539cathrineti have a back problem (lumbago) fell down and ended up laying in the hall way for hours trying to get help from staff since I could not stand up and each my phone, finally a guest heard me knocking and staff came, but then lots of guests had seen me laying in the hallway with no other clothes than a sweater . And even called the police to totally humiliat me as a guest who got sick. Other guests was seeing me laying there helpless only in my trousers. I have worked 25 years for Scandinavian Airlines and have lived months on hotels all over the world. This is my worst experience ever, although I choosed this hotel since the owner was a good friend of my late father Nils Posse. I also told them to only let medical personal enter my room, but a second cousin who was stalking me was given out a key card to my room twice. Stay away from this hotel if you want to be safe or could need medical helt. Totally unprofessional. I have been working at hotels myself for years before starting to work for the airlines, so I wrote hundreds of hotell reviews and also seen how other hotels manage to protect their guest who get sick while being their guests. They charged me full price or even more than agreed on.
