Took us a little while to drive to this place as the car GPS based on phone number was a bit off. Just remember that the actual location of near to main road opp primary school in nakafurano. It is a cluster of 3 2-storey buildings surrounded by farm land. Great views and best location to explore explore Furano Biel region. The rooms are very clean and well-kept. But you are expected to make your own futons. Our breakfast were included in our rates, had Japanese breakfast on first morning and western breakfast( yogurt, eggs, bacon, bread) on our second morning. Enjoyed both breakfast very much. The hotel runs a BBQ RESTAURANT for dinner, otherwise, it is just a short drive to restaurants in town. The same owners run an outdoor activity center which organises rafting, Segway and Hot Air ballon trips. Hotel guest are entitled to discounts. Signed up for river rafting which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Will recommend this place if you are exploring the region.

From the outside upon arriving we got a bit worried, but the inside is really great and high standard. The room we had was not over spacious as common in this area but but very nice and high quality, the view on the other side mountains over the valley and vulcano /geyser activity was beautifull ( with zoom lens) Staff english was oke, and the friendliness at both reception and restaurant and surprise birthdaycake were great We were the only non japanese guests which made it even a better /special experience

This time we stayed in the main building. There were two bath rooms next to the kitchen, which lavendar salt was added, and can be used after 4:30pm. Our room have two beds and a tatami room which is good for three people. The room was air conditioned as well. After 4 years the dinner was the same - chicken with carrot, potato and vegetables. The breakfast was egg, sausage, vegetables and bread, with honey from Furano. The food was natural and good. We did enjoy our stay there.

We visited Furano during flower season, so most of the B&B/pensions are full. Our plan is to find a pension as what people usually do in Furano region. The accommodation price is generally very high during flower season, we are thinking that we may have booked on the wrong portal (Jalan.net). Anyway, the family is very hospitable and with great cooking and English skill, and we enjoyed our breakfast there. However, the room is extremely small with the shared bathroom/toilet. We think it is really overpriced with 8200 yen per person one night.

We are welcome all our guests to enjoy staying with wonderful scenery of nature and delicious meals with lots of uses local fresh ingredients !! Pension Yamasan is located in the middle of Hokusei Mountain in "Nakafurano"(Hometown of lavender), the fragrance of lavender drifts throughout the city during the summer season, you can enjoy the relaxed refreshing days, From Pension Yamasan there is a vast rural landscape and the "roof of Hokkaido" the Tokachidake mountain range, the sunrise rising from the Tokachidake mountain range when the weather is good and the sea of clouds spread before the weather conditions match. In the summer you can also enjoy the sightseeing plans of "All you can eat Furano Melon" and "Harvest experience of corn and mini tomato" at Hokusai Farm of Pension Yamasan group farm. The surroundings of Pension Yamasan are enriched with forests and early morning walking courses while watching small birds and small birds so please try by all means.
We stayed in a mixture of hotels and other lodgings. BUT we love Yamasan Pension house BEST ! Even thou we have to huff and puff our luggage up the gravel slope from the train station...it is totally worth it . If you drive , it will be a breeze. Excellent location . I luv the short cut thru the forest to the lavender farm. I luv the staff members, esp Nanaminmi and mother, the 2 male chef. The rooms are a good size, good views, super duper clean, nice garden, great food ...hotpot, steam seafood, breakfast that look so arty.....every corner of the rooms are instagram worthy ...i dont think i need to continue ....since we stayed 2 nites, we had 2 diffrent dinner . Will be bonus if there are 2 diffrent breakfast as well.

B.J. Club Furano is a petit B&B in the forest of Furano, Hokkaido. This place is perfect for the guests who love nature, snow, and laid back stay.
Very pleasant hostess, Waco-san. Conversant in simple English. House is situated on an uphill side road which can be found on Google map easily. Was surprised to learn that much of the forest behind the house belongs to the owner too. Tips: (A) Room C is nicest, as it is quiet and has its own front porch. Watch out for the Low beam when going upstairs. I like the woody clean interior. It is double storey with rooms on second floor. See pictures. (B) All rooms are slightly warm during summer nights, but the evening temperature cools down quickly. Ask for standing fans if necessary. (C) Just a 5-min walk in either direction allows you to reach a flower farm or lush paddy fields. Went for an early morning walk, and soaked in the fresh mountain air. Bliss. (D) Go for the breakfast option. It is served between 8-9am by the owner in the main house. There are plenty of wonderful dinner options in Furano if you drive. (E) Was told that there are visiting rabbits, deers and foxes from the lush forest just behind the house. Did not see any though.
