We spent the weekend in Rocky Point and ate at Wrecked on Saturday night. We sat outside and there was a live band (which was fantastic). I loved that everywhere in the restaurant is no smoking - even outside. Menu was fairly basic, but delicious. I order grilled garlic shrimp with rice and veggies. My husband had a carne asada chimichanga and my two kids split the chicken tender basket. All was delicious! The margaritas were also excellent. They accept credit card, but there was an additional charge. Great restaurant to enjoy a low-key relaxing meal. The wait staff was friendly and all spoke good english. They had lots of security throughout, making you feel very safe.

Friendly Dolphin

Delicious food, beautiful decoration and hand painted details by native Mexicans enforce its slogan "A Museum of Flavor and Architecture” Now accepting credit cards! It’s location overlooking the port where the shrimp boats are is part of the experience.

We had a great meal and the margaritas were good as well. They told us up front it was cash only so we were prepared for that. However what they didn’t tell us about was their “Dolphin dollars”. What this meant was at the end of the dinner the bill came out in pesos not AmericN dollars (we had confirmed they took American dollars at the time they told us it was cash only). I got out my conversion calculator are determined the cost for our dinners and drinks was $83 The waiter said no it was $97 (both without tip). When we questioned that amount given the current exchange rate he said they didn’t care about actual exchange rate they only cared about what he called “Dolphin dollar rate). We pId the bill as asked and left knowing that no matter how we had felt about the food we would not return and would be letting others know of this unfair practice. Let me say also we had paid for other meals at other restaurants over the past 2 days with no discrepancy on the exchange rates. Now we know why it’s cash only.Hello Sally V,We appreciate your review. I would like to inform you that after many years of operating without a point of sale machine, the Friendly Dolphin has finally acquired one. Yes, we are finally accepting credit or debit cards! There shall never be another dispute over the rate of exchange as it will be the bank the entity establishing the rates of exchange. We apologize for the inconvenience we put you through.Regards

El Buzo

Finally in Rocky Point a new concept in seafood, totally a real holiday for your palate. Enjoy it. Welcome

Reviewed By Podie

This small place on the main drag completely escaped our notice. It used to be Pane e Vino, which is now located up on the hill overlooking the harbor. My landlady highly recommended El Buzo for seafood, so we walked into the small (but there is also a second floor) white tabled room and sat down. El Buzo means "the diver" and there are diving helmets as decorations. Very cute. The server - maybe the owner - spoke English and made us feel very welcome. (Other servers did not speak English but were very friendly) The menu could best be called "fusion" as it included combinations we'd never seen or heard of. There is a book with photos of each dish, which was VERY helpful! We started with the taquitos appetizer, then I got the garlic shrimp, which was delicious, one of my friends had seared tuna (which was clearly sushi grade tuna), and my other friend's tuna tostada made me wish I'd gotten that instead! The pieces of tostada had been broken up and added to the marinated tuna so that it looked like a little tower full of amazing goodness. It was SOOO good. We were so glad El Buzo had been recommended to us. We knew the dessert would be spectacular too, so we ordered the whiskey flan, plantains with ice cream, and cheesecake, and we were right, it was all delicious. The price was right too. Two margaritas, two beers, one appetizer, 3 entrees and 3 desserts were under $70. And we would have gladly paid more!Hello, Podie, thank you for your comments. In the diver always seek to offer quality at the best prices on all our products, we are very happy with who you recommend we have chosen. We wait for you very soon. Thanks, again.

Mare Blu Ristorante

Fresh and elegant. Inspired Italian course and seafood creations. Everything has been changed ... Menu + dinning room same atmosphere & prices. A must stop in Rocky Point

Reviewed By SobremesaStudios

The staff at Mare Blu is outstanding! The woman at the reception desk was warm and welcoming. Our waiter Valentin was courteous and helpful. The food? Well perhaps our expectations were very high because of the good reviews. The grilled octopus appetizer was garlicky and tender. Lovely. The main entrees? Well they were good - fine but not the type of food that will knock your socks off.The chicken piccata was rather stringy and dry.The spaghetti carbonara lacked flavor. The sauce was watery. It unfortunately was not what I was hoping for. It's just okay. The setting is great. With some attention to the level of quality coming from the kitchen, it would be possible for this restaurant to really shine.Worth giving it a shot.

While on our fall family vacation in rocky point we decided to try Pane e Vino! To celebrate our anniversary we wanted a nice dinner and to try something new! Wow from the minute we walked in we were impressed! Having traveled to Italy we are very picky about our Italian food.. this is the best we have ever had in the states..rivaled many places in Italy as well. We had the anti pasta, my husband had the seafood pasta, our daughter had the spaghetti and I had the carbonara! Yummy! Dinno was the best! They surprised us with homemade tiramisu, my husband who doesn’t eat sweet things loved it! We can wait to go back next time we are in town! We are still talking about the delicious meal! Dear Becky H,We are pleased to know that you had a wonderful dining experience. Your kind review will inspire us to continue making every experience here a memorable one for our patrons. Thanks for your valuable feedback and the entire team look forward to seeing you again in the future!
